BELIEVE IN THE IMPOSSIBLE You are about to read THE TRUE STORY OF FATHER CHRISTMAS If you are one of those people who believe that some things are impossible, you should put this book down right away. (Because this book is FULL of impossible things.) Are you still reading? Good. Then let us begin... Julia season 2: release date, trailer, cast and everything we know about the Sarah Lancashire series A beguiling read, filled with warmth and humour, and a vibrant celebration of the power of books to change lives." A new festive classic. Funny, sad and brilliant. It turns out we only knew half the story” (SIMON MAYO) Henry Lawfull leads the cast as Nikolas in 'A Boy Called Christmas'. Haig is one of the most inspirational popular writers on mental health of our age and, in his latest novel, he has taken a clever, engaging concept and created a heart-warming story that offers wisdom in the same deceptively simple way as Mitch Albom's best tales" Every bit as funny and poignant as a mouse that has never seen cheese but still believes in it!” (FRANK COTTRELL BOYCE) Families can talk about Santa Claus, who he is, and how he came to be such a big part of Christmas celebrations. Many different versions appear in different places and cultures -- how do you think A Boy Called Christmas compares with others you may know? Nikolas finds a map that confirms the existence of Elfhelm so he decides to go to the Extreme North to find his father and give him the map. During the journey, Nikolas learns that Miika has learned to speak and this provides hope in continuing his quest. When they reach the Half Moon Forest, a reindeer who Nikolas names Blitzen allows Nikolas to mount him.Lots of bathroom humor, mostly involving Blitzen's weaponized pee (called "wee" here because it's British) skills. Have you ever wondered what Father Christmas was like as a boy? Well, my son, Lucas, did! A Boy called Christmas was my answer. A collection of New York Times bestselling author, Matt Haig’s heartwarming, Christmas adventures– A Boy Called Christmas, The Girl Who Saved Christmas, and A Mouse Called Miika. The film was released on 26 November 2021 in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany and China, by StudioCanal, [2] while Netflix released the film elsewhere, [3] on 24 November 2021. [4] The film was released on DVD. Award-winning costume designer Ruth Myers, who has worked on films including The Addams Family and Emma, and her team made over 100 costumes for A Boy Called Christmas– a riot of colourful, folkloric outfits made of wool, felt and linens with matching headpieces, bags and shoes – all under strict instructions that Christmas clichés and ‘cutesy’ elves should be avoided at all costs!

In this sequel to Legacy and the Queen (2019), Legacy Petrin and her friends Javi and Pippa have returned to Legacy’s home province and the orphanage run by her father. With her friends’ help, she is in training to defend her championship when they discover that another player, operating under the protection of High Consul Silla, is presenting herself as Legacy. She is so convincing that the real Legacy is accused of being an imitation. False Legacy has become a hero to the masses, further strengthening Silla’s hold, and it becomes imperative to uncover and defeat her. If Legacy is to win again, she must play her imposter while disguised as someone else. Winning at tennis is not just about money and fame, but resisting Silla’s plans to send more young people into brutal mines with little hope of better lives. Legacy will have to overcome her fears and find the magic that allowed her to claim victory in the past. This story, with its elements of sports, fantasy, and social consciousness that highlight tensions between the powerful and those they prey upon, successfully continues the series conceived by late basketball superstar Bryant. As before, the tennis matches are depicted with pace and spirit. Legacy and Javi have brown skin; most other characters default to White. Like enjoying the warmth of a good fire on a cold day . . . perfect for Christmas is every way” ( INDEPENDENT) We loved this. Every year, on the 1 December, I give my son a Christmassy book - this didn’t disappoint. You are about to read the true story of Father Christmas. It is a story that proves that nothing is impossible. A Boy Called Christmas is a tale of adventure, snow, kidnapping, elves, more snow, and a boy called Nikolas, who isn't afraid to believe in magic. From the winner of The Smarties Book Prize and the Blue Peter Book Award. With illustrations by Chris Mould. A Mouse Called Miika: Miika, the mouse and his friend, Bridget the Brave are on a mission to procure the world’s tastiest cheese. They’ll stop at nothing to get it, no matter how many trolls they must face or how their friendship is tested along the way . . .

Did we miss something on diversity?

I think this is a really good book but I am giving a review of 3 stars because I know you can do just a little bit better every thing else is perfect. I never watch animated or family films as I don’t have kids myself, but I’ve got a niece and nephew who are six and seven, so I like the idea they can watch me in things that aren’t too naughty," says Stephen, current star of The Outlaws and soon to be playing serial killer Stephen Port in BBC1 drama Four Lives. Enter Kristen Wiig, giving it the full Mrs Twit treatment as child-hating ’orrible Aunt Carlotta, who arrives to look after Nikolas. The unspeakable thing she does to his only toy – a doll carved out of an old turnip – is a genius stroke of kids’ writing. So young Nikolas runs away to find his dad, taking with him his talking pet mouse (voiced by Stephen Merchant). On his adventure, he acquires some dead giveaways as to his future career: a red hat with a white bobble, and a reindeer friend called Blitzen. When he finally catches up with his dad, there are some honest unglossed truths about how parents disappoint their kids – and the film has semi-unsentimental things to say about grief too.
