Warrington will become the very first Cheshire place to land its own official MONOPOLY game. In 2001 there was a part Chester one, with other Cheshire towns featuring too. However, no city or town in Cheshire has ever had its very own game. Still a town, but bidding to win city status in this the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee milestone year, Warrington has seen off nine other places in Cheshire to become the first county place to land its very own official MONOPOLY game. At the launch event, the Deputy Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Graham Friend, said: “This is really exciting for the people of Warrington and it’s fantastic to know that we’re able to see the completed game for the very first time today. Tim Parry Jonathan Ball Peace Foundation – one of the town’s most loved charities and rightly deserving of its space on the board. The board – which is set to feature key locations from around the town such as Walton Hall and Gardens, the Golden Gates, and the home of the Warrington Wolves, the Halliwell Jones Rugby Stadium, all of which are each tipped to feature prominently – is being officially launched at Walton Hall and Gardens on the same day it is released in shops.
