More demanding sensor" makes resolution numbers higher. So of course Viltrox has higher numbers in some cases. In the same time you show that Fujinons still have higher numbers in other cases despite lower resolution sensor which is pretty remarkable. OP compares resolution numbers. Its meaningless except in cases when Fujinons are better despite lower resolution sensors used. I would have liked you to include the 50/2 vs 50/1.0 vs the 56/1.2. OK, that last one's not exactly like for like, but near enough to be worth the comparison. Overall I really like the image quality of the Viltrox 23mm lens. The bokeh looks nice, it focuses nice and close and has a lovely feel to the overall photo. There is a vignette from f1.4 through f3.6 and there can be significant flare when shooting towards the sun, but fringing is kept to a minimum.

No it doesn't. The 16mm has extremely minimal distortion. There's a difference between optical distortion (e.g barrel distortion) and perspective "distortion" - which is a natural and unavoidable phenomenon of how perspective works. The AF Viltrox 23mm f/1.4 XF was released in August 2020 and in comparison, we had to wait till January 2021 before the Fujifilm counterpart, the XF 23mm f/1.4 R LM WR, saw the light of day. If you demand more from your gear I would encourage you to consider the Fujifilm options but in the same breath they come at a considerably higher cost and if you are on a budget it is indeed nice to have options without having to make too many compromises. Pros kính có chế độ cận cảnh cho phép người dùng có được những bức hình cận cảnh đẹp tuyệt đến từng chi tiết. Issues: I got the lens profile setup in Lightroom but Viltrox says it only works with JPEGs which is pretty disappointing. I found a work around by editing the lens profile in notepad "CameraRawProfile" is set to false. I edited it to true and it works flawlessly in with RAW now. Image attached for people in the future.

But its definitly a good thing to have options, and unfortunatly not everyone agree...never understood why. I don't think it makes any sense what you're doing because these lenses were tested on very different cameras. The Fuji lenses were tested on an older 16mpix body while the viltrox was tested on the newest generation 26mpix body. So especially things like resolution can't be compared afaik. This goes away though when you stop down to f2 and beyond. This could be an issue if you like to get an out of focus foreground or if you're shooting through something like a bush for example.(I explain this in more detail in my viltrox 23mm lens review video) Don’t forget correction is automatically applied to Fuji lens, so things like vignetting are not noticed unless you go out of your way to see the actual raw file produced.

Viltrox AF 23mm f/1.4 XF Lens V2 for FUJIFILM X-Mount

Autofocus proved fast and consistently accurate during our testing with the Z-mount edition on a Nikon Z fc body. Center-sharpness is excellent even at the widest aperture of f/1.4, and edge-sharpness follows suit at f/2.8. A slight softening due to diffraction at narrow apertures starts to take effect at f/8. Heres two more. Its interesting that despite using the Lightroom Auto exposure the Fuji photos are coming out much darker. This was taken using f5 and 160 ISO. The autofocus is fast enough that I caught this while we were both walking. The build quality is decent, it feels lighter than the Fuji XF 23mm f1.4 and balances really nice when mounted to the X-T3. Overall it looks great too.Nah, the center is not sharp. This is only 200% zoom and it's easy to see that all the white flowers are wider than they are tall, indicating sideways camera shake.

Well, in my opinion, the Viltrox is head and shoulders sharper than the fuji, that's not just in the centre but unbelievably sharper at the edges too. with the fuji film simulation of "monochrome + g filter", you can emulate those classic leica 90mm publicity portraits of the 1950s / 1960s If Fuji extract 23mm F2 lens from X100V, it should not include leaf shutter parts because X-E4 built-in focal plane shutter. You've intentionally removed some of the ingredients there, so of course it tastes bad. Most lens look bad if you remove some of their elements. Picture is good enough to see what are you talking about. I wonder how many copies have this issue and how this affects bokeh in the worst case...Dưới đáy ống kính được trạng bị ổ Micro USB, giúp thuận tiện hơn cho việc nâng cấp Firmware trong tương lai, giúp hiệu suất hoạt động mạnh mẽ hơn; I must admit that I don’t shoot 35mm or 35mm equivalent lenses wide open much as I like to stop them down, and exploit the large depth of field for the type of photography that I do with this focal length. When I did use the Viltrox 23mm f1.4 XF lens at its wide open aperture, I was pleasantly surprised by its nice and buttery smooth bokeh. The 23mm f1.4 employs a nine-blade diaphragm that I feel produces a decent shallow depth of field. We all have personal preferences when it comes to bokeh but as far as I’m concerned, I didn’t find anything harsh or weird about the bokeh that was produced by this lens. Overall, I think the Viltrox 23mm f1.4 XF lens is a great option for those who are in the Fujifilm X Series system, and are looking for a fast 35mm equivalent. It has a lot going for it, such as, build, ergonomics, autofocus, and image quality. To top it off, the price makes this lens quite a bargain, and allows more users to be able to get a 35mm equivalent lens with a large maximum aperture.
