About this deal

The TomTom GO 6000 features Advanced Lane Guidance which will help you at road junctions providing a 3D representation of each junction. The TomTom features 3D buildings and landmarks so you are aided in your navigation by recognising your surroundings on the sat nav. Furthermore IQ routes provides accurate travel arrival times. In use we found the TomTom Go 6000 performed very well - with a good choice of routes and accurate journey times, thanks in no small part to the TomTom Traffic data. Entering destination information was intuitive, with plenty of scope for finding places either by entering postcodes, towns and street name or by interacting directly with the responsive maps. A big disappointment. Fuel stops are all car related. Not easy. No better than a basic car gps.i am a reasonably experienced driver so know most of my routes. Receiving communications from TomTom regarding news, software updates and products now requires a manual opt-in when setting up your account.

See your favourite locations on the map. Personalise your map with My Places so you can easily find and navigate to your favourite locations again and again. The screen is bright and clear and easy to see whatever the lighting outside, and the voices are clear and precise too. The new mounting system is solid, yet it's easy to remove the sat nav from its cradle if you need to. You can charge the sat nav from a standard micro-USB connector, if you're away from your car too, which adds to its flexibility. We disliked

To learn more about your TomTom model, you can refer to the table below. The table consists of the serial number prefix and the model number to help you identify your device. This update prepares your navigation device for the week number rollover in April 2019 which has an impact on GPS. The world's biggest database of real travel times is built into every TomTom device. Which means you'll get the fastest routes and most accurate arrival times. It's genius! You will still receive access to your active TomTom Traffic and TomTom Speed Camera Subscriptions as they are assigned directly to your device. If we do have any genuine criticisms of the TomTom Go 6000, it's with the construction of the unit, or rather TomTom's choice of materials.

Tap on the map and you're on your way. Use Tap & Go to instantly get a route to your destination. Save time and get moving faster. Another major addition with the TomTom Go 6000 is something that TomTom calls 'Always Connected', that is, it boasts an integrated data modem to access the TomTom data network directly from the sat nav. You don't incur any additional costs when using this, and it even works when you're driving around Europe, signal permitting of course. Details about new product features are now available in the What's New section. You can find this information by selecting What's New in the Help menu. This covers you for real-time updates on slow moving traffic and roadworks on your route, via the TomTom Traffic system. You get three month's worth of Speed Camera data as well, although having to pay extra each year to keep the camera data up to date does seem a bit cheeky. Safe and easy navigation on the BIG SCREEN. See your next instruction better on our biggest and sharpest screen yet. Bigger menus and buttons on the extra-large 15 cm (6"), high-resolution screen make input a touch simpler.Zoom in and out to explore the map with your fingertips.
