About this deal

The album followed its predecessor Kimono My House by half a year and was a successful album in the UK and US. It peaked at No. 9 on the UK Album Chart [8] [9](which would remain their second highest album chart position in the UK for nearly 43 years until pushed down into third place by Hippopotamus in 2017) [9] and No. 63 on the Billboard 200 (and remains their highest peak in that country). [10] EAC не делает cue в unicode, только log. Хотя у меня версия 1.1, возможно в поздних версиях всё уже в юникоде. Welch, Chris (1974). "Bright Sparks". Melody Maker. Archived from the original on 2006-02-21 . Retrieved 2006-04-13. Sparks Kimono My House (1974)–I belatedly got into Sparks after going on a whim to see them perform this album in full with the Heritage Orchestra at the Barbican in 2014, and discovering that with several near misses along the way (which we will get to) they should always have been one of my very favourite bands. Kimono My House is their absolute undisputed masterpiece and perhaps the oddest thing about it now is to think that they only took two singles off it, when you could easily imagine there being iconic TOTP performances of Falling In Love With Myself Again, Here In Heaven, Thank God It’s Not Christmas, Hasta Manana Monsieur and Talent Is An Asset too. Faith No More – production and performing on "This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us" and "Something for the Girl with Everything"

Bassist Martin Gordon wrote in a 2014 blog post: “The Kimono My House recording, unlike its predecessors and successors, is the product of a process; and there were five people involved in it.” As such this album would be an accident, the product of a fortuitous meeting of five creative minds, something unique to be cherished on its own. From what I have heard this week, it certainly seems like so for me. Lester, Paul (March 2006). "Flashes of Greatness [ Hello Young Lovers 4 out of 5 star Review". Uncut. Dave Connolly of AllMusic touched on the criticism: "The torrential outpouring of words and ideas, underscored by guitars and keyboards with oft-shifting rhythms, either repels or attracts listeners." However, he believed "close-minded" American listeners were more critical of the album's "cross between 10cc and the power pop of the late '70s", concluding that " Propaganda remains one of Sparks' brightest achievements, brimming with a loopy charm that continued to captivate the open-minded English listeners". Cyriak (animator, director), Sparks (composers) (3 July 2020). Sparks – The Existential Threat (Official Video) (YouTube) . Retrieved 24 July 2020. Ron and Russell appeared as interview subjects in the 2009 documentary The Magnificent Tati, discussing their involvement during the early 1980s in Confusion, a proposed Jacques Tati movie for which a screenplay was written but never shot (due to Tati's death). Sparks Exotic Creatures Of The Deep (2008)–“I hope it’s just your laugh that is infectious” in the emotional rollercoaster of Good Morning is just one of any number of great lyrics on this, and Lighten Up, Morrissey gets unwittingly funnier and funnier by the day as the former Smiths frontman progresses his journey beyond total arsehole.
