About this deal

The two face up cards match the mission of “something that flies” since the bird and helicopter both fly. The player who flipped these cards over gets to take the mission card and the two flipped over cards get replaced with two new picture cards. The teams are now joined by their parents whom in this round were dressed up like one of the Pictureka characters. In round two, the parents played separately. Each of then had 60 seconds to run through the "Pictureka Maze" and find up to six characters announced by Cory. The characters must be placed into the team's colored bin to count. For each correct character they find, they score 20 fish points for a possible grand total of 120 fish points.

Whichever player manages to complete the assigned ‘mission’ first keeps that card, and the game continues to the left. Blue mission cards are the ‘Find it First’ cards which require players to be the first to find a specific object on the tiles. While not as bad as Pictureka! Flipper, I didn’t feel the card game was as good as the original either. It is an okay game but feels more like a family game than anything else and can get pretty dull for adults. It is nice that the game has four different games to play with the cards but the games are pretty similar with there being only slight differences. Separate the cards into piles of the same color and put them face down. Make sure each pile is well shuffled.

If you're first to find a picture that matches the mission, shout Pictureka! and point at it. You get to keep the card. One of the problems with the Pictureka! Card Game is something that is prevalent in all of the other Pictureka! games. Since the missions are usually pretty broad, players are going to argue about what should count as an acceptable answer. Some players will think an answer should count while another player thinks that they are stretching the mission too far. I really can’t think of a way to fix this problem either. The only thing you can do is vote and whichever side gets more votes gets their way. At this point, the gameplay is the same as it is in ‘Round & Round’ with the same missions and the winner keeping the card.

Pictureka is an example of how board games designed for kids can be really beneficial in developing different skills. Whilst also being great fun too.The game continues until you reach the end of the range agreed to before the game began. Players count up the number of cards that they have. Whichever player has the most cards wins the game. Matchureka! If a player shouts at ‘Pictureka’ and then fails to point out where the mission objective is, this would be a good example of a player ‘cheating’. Being a card game there isn’t a whole to the components. The game just includes cards. Like the other Pictureka games though I have to give credit to the artwork. The card game keeps the quirky artwork from the other games. If you liked the artwork in the other Picturekas you should like the artwork in the card game as well. Final Verdict Balloon Monsoon - The players on the team in control run into a field of balloons one at a time; the balloons have pictures printed on them. Their job was to find balloons with a picture that fits different categories, then bring the balloon to Almeida, then a designated "pop zone" and pop the balloon before the next player can go in. Correct answers start at 80 points, still increasing by 10 with each correct answer.
