I have an autistic child in my class. He also loves the set and making the numbers. The MathLink Cubes are a good challenge for him to also develop his fine motor skills. The set has everything 12 pairs of pupils need to complete the activities featured in the Teacher’s Guide. Please give some examples of where the product has positively affected an individual or the school?

The set includes 15 double-sided write-and-wipe Activity Cards that feature 30 fun, hands-on maths learning activities related to selected episodes from the TV series. The activities have been developed to help children recognise numbers, learn to count, add and subtract, discover division and multiplication, and develop problem-solving skills. This product easily supports the number and numerical pattern development for children and enables you to support children in reaching their early learning goal in these areas. Considering it has been played with by both my two year old and my seven year old I think there is a really good long term appeal to the product – particularly when used in conjunction with the activity cards to work on simple algebra. Do you feel the product is unique or different from other resources?Yes, whilst it bears similarities to other sorting resources, I think the “family” element gives it the edge. Most importantly… did you have fun using this product?YES! I have used the set in many ways in our classroom and will also plan to use them for many more mathematics sessions across the spring/summer term. They really relate to the characters and numbers which helps to concrete their understanding of the numbers and also to a deeper level. In our school we follow a mastery approach to mathematics so having the concrete resources is very important to our children’s learning. Using this set can support all of the five counting principles which are essential for children to develop in the early years. All of the above. We used them for whole class teaching to demonstrate, we used them as a group to build the numbers, make a number line and I also then challenged the children to show me the numbers 11-20. Leaving them out for child-initiated learning I found the children were building the numbers and then role-playing with them like the story telling in the episodes. Yes, because they are hands-on concrete materials this set can be accessed by all children. I have a child in my class with Autism. He also loves the set and making the numbers. The MathLink Cubes are also a good challenge for him to develop his fine motor skills.

We have recently used them to reinforce the concept of number bonds to 10 alongside the episode Blast Off where children built and found the number pairs for 10. What would you say are the greatest benefits of the product, both to you as the teacher and to your students?Even though she has 7 factors, she doesn't have an array display. This is most likely an error while making her rig, as it is stated in her debut that she's a super rectangle. It helps when demonstrating different mathematical concepts in the classroom and also to support children alongside their maths activities. Leaving these out in the classroom as part of the continuous provision also provides mathematical play opportunities and different levels of challenge. Creation Consumer Finance Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (Register no. 311518). She is the second character based off of her tetration, the first is Four, and the next might be Two Hundred Fifty-Six. We used them for whole class teaching to demonstrate, we used them as a group to build the numbers, make a number line and I also then challenged the children to show me the numbers 11-20. Leaving them out for child-initiated learning I found the children were building the numbers and then role-playing with them like the story telling in the episodes.

Twenty-Seven is the first multiple of 9 who is female, with the second being 45, and the only as of all characters introduced in Seasons 1-7. The 30 activities on the 15 write-and-wipe activity cards feature fun ways for children to use MathLink Cubes to develop early maths skills. The activities have been developed to help children recognise numbers, learn to count, add and subtract, discover division and multiplication, and develop problem-solving skills. The ultimate set for teachers to help children master maths by bringing the concepts shown in the award-winning TV series to life in the classroom. I give it 10/10 – the product will last years. The cubes are durable and hardwearing. I combined two sets which is plenty for a small group of children to use. is 3 cubed, and the 6th figured-out cube number to be introduced in the series, the first four being One, Eight, One Thousand, One Million, and Sixty-Four.

How would you rate the long-term appeal of the product, both to you as the teacher, and to your students? Not suitable for children under the age of 3 years due to small parts which could cause a choking hazard Yes it helps when showing different mathematical concepts in the classroom and also to support children alongside their maths activities. Leaving these out in the classroom as part of the continuous provision also provides mathematical play opportunities and different levels of challenge. This is the perfect hands-on, visual maths manipulative to use alongside teaching the class and also to support children when doing their maths activities. The Teacher’s Guide is a welcome addition to support with planning and the templates help to reduce workload. The children are very motivated by the product, and I have found it to really support their learning.
