About this deal

My grandpa had one of these in the late 80s. He was thrilled with it, and I didn’t understand why he didn’t just carry his OM1N or Rollei B35. Reading this review and keeping in mind that we weren’t used to digital convenience, I see why. No one had to wait for him to set the camera, (something he was slow at) so he could take pix on the fly. Great lens. I wonder if it was a Zeiss Tessar copy? (since the original was a Sonnar copy) The viewfinder itself is fine though, mines a little on the dusty side, but actually is quite nice and bright otherwise. The self timer Great review, thanks! One more thing to add… if you’re shopping for one of these, Nikon made two different models. The earlier one only goes up to 400 ASA. The later model goes all the way to 1000 ASA. Reply Filter: không nhưng các dòng AF, AF2, AD có ren fiter 46mm, ưu điểm vượt trội so với các dòng máy T2 T3.

Could you tell me your opinion on the Nikon compared to the Minolta Weathermatic DL? You prefer the Nikon as it’s a real “underwater” camera or for its image quality or…..I am quite tempted by the Minolta mainly for its dual focal length, but I wouldn’t like to sacrifice image quality for this feature. As mentioned the shutter button has a relatively long throw. I suspect that this is due to the fact that it has to action the metering, the autofocus and the autofocus distance readout in the viewfinder before it triggers the shutter. When it fires the shutter, being a leaf shutter it is fairly quiet, though like many shutters of its era does have a bit of a squeak to the sound. Thankfully, like a lot of the Nikon cameras that followed it, the automatic film advance doesn’t action until you release the shutter button, meaning that if you are trying to be discrete you have more of a chance. That said, even the film advance isn’t all that noisy. I’m not going to tell you it’s whisper quiet, but it’s more quiet than I remember my AF3 being. The viewfinderThe little Nikon’s auto focus is really fast! I am most impressed - it puts some more modern cameras to shame! We really must talk about the lens – on my particular camera the previous owner had stored the camera with a UV filter on and I will thank them to the end of my days for doing this because as a result the lens is totally mint!! Having looked it up on line this little gem of a 35mm 2.8 lens is a very well regarded and highly sought after design – Nikon built this tiny little camera around an exceptional piece of glass. Then there’s the battery door. Like the on-off button this isn’t stury enough to last for years. I guess I’ll have to Gaffer tape mine soon as it hardly stays closed. The good news is: the L35AF takes standard AA batteries (two of them), that can be had anywhere for cheap.

The Nikon L35 AF Review: Everything You Need To Know

The film ISO/ASA setting is controlled by a textured ring around the lens itself, which is inside the filter thread.ISO range available is 50 to 1000.The fully automatic CdS light meter also resides inside the filter thread, which allows for metering with a filter attached. It is capable of exposures from EV 6 to EV 17.That equates from 1/8 sec. with f/2.8 through to 1/430 sec. with an aperture of f/17.5 respectively, with the ISO set to 100. Hi, Hamish. As usual, great review! I own TWO (uppercase for a reason, soon to be revealed) L35 AF2 Nikons – I’ve barely shot either! Both were pretty cheap, for sale at the same time, so I grabbed both. Why haven’t I used them? I can’t stand the auto-flash. My mate, a real lover of the L35AF range, insists that it is okay to over-ride the auto-flash by physically stopping it popping up by means of a finger on the top of the flash. Spending my early years with my Scottish engineer grandfather this option is totally unacceptable and potentially damaging – surely this would cause strain & wear on the pop-up mechanism (have you heard otherwise?). He also insists when you half-press, and the flash pops up, then you pop in down again, then fully press, you will get a correct exposure. I can’t be bothered trying this out – I just hate fudging stuff like this and this stupid design feature has preventing any meaningful bonding with my AF2s.This is possibly the only photo that could follow the Traction Avant! As it did in real life, of course! André Lefèbvre and Flaminio Bertoni were again the principal designers, but were joined by Paul Magès, who designed the self-levelling hydro-pneumatic suspension, one of the cars defining features.
