About this deal

My point was that there are known failures with copper but not with Kunifer and Kunifer is only a few pounds more so why take the chance !!! Here at LandyZone we have plenty of very knowledgable members so if you have any questions about your Land Rover or just want to connect with other Landy owners, you're in the right place.

Our new vapour and sweat free hose range designed for motorsport. Easy self assembly and around half the weight of 200 & T9 series. i have always used copper and never had a problem as mentioned earlier as long as its secured properly and it is flared correctly i dont see a problem, its my guess that the pipes that fail have been damaged in some way when they were fitted. You're welcome to look around .. but to get involved in the Forum, and post your own messages, you'll need to register. Suitable for non-pressurised fuel pipe & for OE modifications or replacements on all types of brake & hydraulic lines Searching online I’m thinking that buying a length of replacement brake pipe and the tools to bend/fit it is probably the best/cheapest option but can anyone recommend a decent pipe/supplier and also is this a sensible DIY option?Only thing to look out for is to get the right version, there's a metric/DIN one and an imperial one. brake light Decals - please PM for info. (Availabily - Z3 Pre Face Lift 7, Z3 Face Lift 1, Z4 E85 8, Z4 E89 4, Window 1.) I've got one of those tools that Bearman and Steve have linked to. Mine is called a "powerhand", despite it sounding like an elabourate w king machine its sole purpose is making flares, and tight spaces if needs be! I've got the metric DIN version.

Rubber brake pipes are not very effective in handling wear and tear. Even steel brake pipe’s polish is affected by grime and road salt, which can puncture them. That’s where the Kunifer brake pipe stands out. It offers a much longer life span and also offers significant protection against wear and tear. 4-Affordable Using copper tube for brake pipes is absolutely fine for the first fitting. However if you ever need to remove a pipe, to change a hose or a calliper, for example the steel nuts usually end up twisting the copper pipe as you undo the union so you will need to replace the pipe all over again. You don't get this problem too much with Kunifer pipe but it can happen. I can point you to at least 4 or 5 people that have used Copper and they have all had failures directly behind the flare, thats where it always breaks due to fatigue when flared. Company fitted brake pipes can be standard stainless steel or rubber made. Over time stainless steel brake pipes may face corrosion and need replacement, and rubber pipes may be cheap but are also prone to break. Thus, it’s crucial to find a brake pipe material that can last long without needing frequent repair and breakdowns. Kunifer brake pipes solve these very problems. They are reliable, more corrosion protected and less prone to breakages. I’m not a mechanic by any stretch but since buying the disco I’ve had to learn a a fair few new skills so I’m not adverse to giving this a go but as its the brakes I don’t want to start something that is way out of my league especially as its the brakes! I also use one of these 'power hand' type kits. Should have bought one years ago rather than struggle with one of the crappy scissor clamp types in the OP! My Z is 18 years and has advisories on its last mot for corrosion of the front steel brake pipes. I had a good look around the rear end of the car and there where brake lines in some places around the nearside wheel arch and above the diff where the integrity looked dubious. Hence my next challenge, could all of the rear fixed steel brake pipes be replaced with Kunifer having access to only a set of car ramps and axle stands? I searched the forums and found plenty of good general information on replacing brake lines generally and the tools required but nothing I could find to specific to guide me. Goods news is that it can be done. Having recently retired must admit I have the time to spend doing this hence scope eventually turned out to be:

Here you can view our range of oil feed line kits, individual components and accessories suitable for use with turbo oil feed systems. As I say I still use both on my own vehicles so cann't say I'm negative against copper - or pro Kunifer. Cleanliness to EN12449/12451 which exceeds BLS.30.JC.101. and conforms to DIN74234. All our tube is drawn in the U.K I've removed copper pipes off cars which I'd only fitted it a couple of years previously and aren't wasn't happy about reusing as they SEEMED to have aged or however you describe it.

Each brake line to rear could not be removed in one piece, I worked out two cut points where needed. With patience they where removed to enable them to be used as templates for making new lines. Kunifer brake pipes are not only superior quality brake pipes but are also affordable because of the value they provide. It may seem expensive, but in the long term, it provides greater value than rubber and steel brake pipes. If you want affordable, you should go with Kunifer brake pipes without any hesitation.
