About this deal

I always say it: there needs to be a law of Criminal Defamation. Needed more than ever now. The Oz state of South Australia has one. One of the main areas that appears to have let Jon down is that having viewed a number of his own videos there appear to be various inconsistencies and embellishments which seemed designed to beef up his own case.

Jon Wedger - Facebook

In August 2016, an ex Detective from the Metropolitan Police gave an interview to Brian Gerrish at UK Column about his experiences of cover ups involving paedophiles and the apathy within the police when dealing with children who are vulnerable and victims of sexual crimes. It also raises the issue of police whistleblowers and the lengths those higher up will go to, to protect fellow ranks and the damage caused. It is an excellent listen. Although it is an hour long, it is worth listening to. You can find it here: He said: “He offered me his hand, I reciprocated, and he said, ‘You must give your word that you will never look into child prostitution ever again.’ The experience left me traumatised and paranoid.” Meanwhile, his revelations about mass child sex abuse hidden in the system is of great interest, the focal point of his work so far I believe and of this particular thread. However I really hope this year will be the year Abe and Ella are captured. Plus how the hell did Abe and Ella escape from Ella’s place with the police at the front door? JW: No that’s quite alright. I mean, all I will say is that people have come forward but they’ve always got retired before they’re named.BG: Er, It’s good to have you here in the UK Column studio after all this time. Erm, just start somewhere at the beginning. Just tell us a little bit about yourself and, just, when did you become a policeman and er, what sort of things have you done before you got near the child protection issues. We don't feel that Maggie or Jon can be considered police whistleblowers in the true sense, legislation was available that they have could have used to lawfully highlight their situations and name names. This is still a bone of contention for many people that despite becoming minor celebrities, victims/survivors are still in the dark about who did what and are they still covering up? We found inconsistent, even ineffective, identification of victims and investigations closed prematurely. As a result, victims were being left unprotected, leaving perpetrators free to continue to exploit people as commodities.”

JW: And erm, so they dealt with it. So what happened was, there was information from the moment I came in regarding one particular woman and her name was Foxy – her street name was Foxy – and she was a larger than life character and she was a street prostitute but she was rumoured to be pimping out young girls, and I’d heard the rumours from the moment I’d walked in the office but nothing was ever done about this woman. Anyway, I sort of got moved on merit – I did very well on the street – and, erm, I…Responding to the inquiry, ex-Conservative MP Harvey Proctor - who was among those to be falsely accused by Beech - said he had always "made it clear that there was no Westminster VIP paedophile network or ring". JW: Well… well… what… what it’s saying is that, first it’s Central London but there is a transient population and people don’t tend to live there, they just work there, and when they’re working away from home – a bit like someone going to Thailand – they will commit a crime of, you know, like soliciting, prostitute or whatever, because they’ve got the anonymity of being a tourist but when they live in an area there is a different mindset. So it’s going to an area that is more residential or… and… yeah, I would say some of the areas were bad areas… they were bad areas, and I think most of them had their own social problems, but there was a lot of residential kids homes in these outer boroughs and a lot of kids would be farmed out. And I think the kids would network, you know, so if a kid was taken… taken in to a secure unit, for whatever reason, they would go in there, they would network with other kids and the main way of earning money was either through violent crime, robbery or with girls it was prostitution. (20:57) So these networks were all set up, you know, and no one was looking… there was no one looking in to them at all. Lord Steel said he feared that he had been made a "proxy" for Smith, because the inquiry had failed to secure "a parliamentary scalp". He refers to 3 cases he had worked on being shut down, he was probably frustrated about this and may have made a decision at some stage that he wanted to leave the force.

As well as the human damage Abe and Ella wreaked, the financial costs to the tax payer all told must be immense and anything that sends out a clear “dont even go there” message will be well worth it in the final analysis.Failings in the approach left victims exposed and allowed perpetrators to continue to exploit the vulnerable, it added. In one case, the inspectorate was told: “The public view is, they are not our girls.” The video is about the highest-level police corruption in suppressing industrial-scale child abuse in the U.K.

Jon Wedger is an ex-Scotland Yard police detective, he exposes corruption and child abuse within the police & care system. Today Jon campaigns all over Europe as a child abuse whistleblower. Jon was joined in the second half of our episode by fellow campaigner and former Beechholme children’s home abuse victim Alan Merritt.I was snatched at birth and brought up by another family - the man who raised me walked me down the aisle at my wedding alongside my biological dad Mr Wedger was clearly very dedicated to his work, and this institutional neglect of a vulnerable population must have been highly distressing to him. BG: And… and the significance of this is that, it’s now moving in to areas of a better class of person. Is that what it means? The video shows how top-level police officers squash investigations into child sexual abuse rings and suggests that some of them are actively involved in these rings.
