Finn, our omniscient narrator was beautifully pure and refreshing. I adored her voice, just as I did Mo's....Finn's best friend. Actually, I loved the entire Miller family's vibe...with the exception of Ann, the mother. Now, being a mother myself...and particularly a mother of a mentally disabled, puberty-ridden son who reminded me very much of Oz...you'd think I'd have empathized with her. I didn't. I realize everyone grieves differently, and I'm certainly not judging, but her actions during and after the tragedy were so far from what I'd do in the same situation, I couldn't relate to her at all. Not even a little. In fact, I quite disliked her, which is why I ultimately decided to rate this novel 4.5 stars instead of 5. Just as he predicts, with Choi Han taking the lead, one by one, different colors of magics and auras start rising through the air. Was he ever this transparent? Cale*'s hand grasping at the bottle is shaking faintly. His posture slouches, but his legs are tensing in preparation for any unexpected move. Kim Rok Soo is sure that had there been a sword here, Cale* will be carefully meandering over to take it, too. The Birth of a Hero] was a novel focused on the adventures of the main character, Choi Han, a high school boy who was transported to a different dimension from Earth, along with the birth of the numerous heroes of the continent.

There's a blink before they scramble up the shoulders of Ron and Choi Han. Who knows if an inappropriate comment will trigger the obviously unstable dude again? Kim Rok Soo doesn't want to be beaten up another time, thanks.
