Although we have our usual setting of the isekaied otome player in the role of the villainess, trying to avoid the rad flags and, ultimately, her fate from the game, the turn the story takes is a little bit different, with the MC trying to get the help of the majestic, incredibily handsome, and lonely Demon King. She's witty, smart, and frank; she isn't afraid to state her And this is where this last volume of the series loses some points from a perfect score. The gross trope that we all see too often is to separate the female lead and either make it seem like she’s been assaulted (or go through with the disgusting act). To attempt to ruin her in the eyes of her loved ones, the narrative branches into the ‘Fridging Female Character in Comics’ trope, and I absolutely hate it. But, alas, it is used to trigger the mayhem that follows Claude’s transformation. Despite this stumble, there’s plenty that I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss Volume 3does right. For example, a significant role reversal between Lilia and Aileen in a final showdown speaks wonders to being accountable for your actions and deserving of happier endings. Watashi ga Seijo? Ya'll, I have re-discovered my college era love of manga and NOW there is something JUST as good or even BETTER out there and it is LIGHT NOVELS, basically manga with only a few GORGEOUS pictures and the story written out as a prose book.

But I'm getting ahead of myself here, let's rewind from the start. If you've watched either HameFura or MobuSeka for that matter, AkuLas's story is essentially the same copy-pasted blurb setting of its main female MC being Isekai-ed into the game, with her memories intact of how the game is being played out and navigating thereabouts so that she can reach the outcome of the game's "good end" and avoiding the "bad end". But as the saying goes: "Truth is stranger than fiction", and even if the game turned out to be predictable, there is always that small hole-sized void that'll plunge the female MC into self-perception if there exists an area that wasn't part of the main story (e.g. special spin-off character routes), regardless of how well she can memorize the entire game inside out to play exactly as how it would be panned out. Also the antagonists (well technically heroes) I think they're really bland. Cedric is just kinda the ex character. Lilia is the standard good girl anime protagonist, and pretty predictable like YOU know that girl is hiding something hah.The art is beautiful. Not exactly the height of manga art, but still, cute and serious at times, I liked it. I really enjoyed the overall cast, though that plot twist had me like "ummmm…" Yeah, definitely NOT liking that one character! :p But I am hyped for volume two! A fantastic comedy in which you can't help but admire Aileen, the main heroine, and one who was reborn into the world of an otome game as the villain. Does this sound familiar? The show resembles Hamefura in some ways. I will not forgive V03 for that horribly conceived attempted rape scene. It mutilates characters, emphasizes purity culture, and the perp gets away with it with barely a slap on the wrist. Also, this is the point where the ship started making less sense to me because there were too many heightened emotions and it does not fit with how little they actually know each other. Se los recomiendo a todos aquellos que no conozcan mucho del género o aquellos veteranos a este, a aquellos que busquen algo nuevo que leer, a los amantes del manga y a los que adoran a protagonistas fuertes, decididas e inteligentes. Overall (this is a very biased opinion, because I really loved the manga) this is a fun ride, I do think that it is re-readable and if you don't take it too seriously I think you'll like it. Wow. I mean the demon king does the typical doting and protecting stuff too, but for a couple to do all that for each other and actually be thankful for what others have done for them instead of feeling sorry for themselves at least once in the story is really refreshing.

So. Yes, this is similar in structure to other books in the genre, but it does a good job of being distinct and OMG the hero is just PERFECT. Highly recommended if you are interested in this genre. Unfortunately for her and the motley crew I’ve become so fond of, Lilia, the game’s heroine who was just revealed to be the holy maiden, is also a reincarnated person! That means Lilia is also armed with the knowledge of how the game is intended to play out. As a result, she helps cook up a plan to separate Claude from Aileen. The end game for this awful excuse for a heroine is that, as Maiden of the Holy Sword, she’ll slay Claude in his demon form and live happily after. But, to get him to that mental state where he loses control and transforms, she has been scheming to separate him from Aileen. If the story didn't want to properly punish that, it shouldn't have included that scene in the first place. At the banquet to celebrate the end of the academy's winter term, the crown prince and Irene's childhood friend, Cedric Jeanne Elmeier, publicly annuls his engagement with Irene and announces that he is in love with Lilia Rainworth, the game's female protagonist. Aware of the tragic future ahead of her and determined to change it, the young girl resolves to conquer the game's final boss, the "Demon King" and Cedric's half-brother, Claude Jeanne Elmeier, by making him fall in love with her instead. how could I give it anything less and do I want to pauper myself by getting the manga as well, stars!
