This style of machine offers fantastic versatility, at a level you might not expect from a largely accessible bean-to-cup model. The standalone steam spout is perfect for preparing hot chocolate too. The machine has a fairly large 1.3 litre water tank and a good sized bean hopper that sits over the integrated burr grinder with 13 different coarseness settings. The machine can also make two cups of coffee at once – which saves time an effort when there is a rush on the coffee. Usability and performance It will certainly look splendid in any kitchen but leans more towards a modern/contemporary look with the matt silver and curved body.
The coffee spout can be raised and lowered to accommodate everything from a tiny little espresso cup to a huge mug, once again proving that the De’Longhi Autentica Plus fits an awful lot into a reasonably small frame. It also features a control that lets you set how fine the machine grinds coffee in the beans holding compartment. There are also 13 different levels of grind size that you can choose from as well which will further adjust the amount of coffee being delivered into your cup.
