Who or what is targeting her, and why? Cold Cold Bones is one of the most anticipated July book releases, and it didn’t disappoint! Cold Cold Bones is the #21 book in the Temperance Brennan series (I have only read #20 and #21). However, you do not need to read any of the prior books to jump into this book.

The book opens with Tempe helping her daughter, Katy, move into her new home after recently finishing a career in the military, which included episodes of combat.
