About this deal

Seasoning a baking stone may not be what you think it is. Seasoning a baking stone is much the same process as you would go about seasoning a cast iron. The idea of it is that using the baking stone will make it much easier to use when you are baking the pizza. Rather than using soap to clean off your baking stone, you will want to use plain warm water. Warm water will remove any residue that is not a part of the seasoning process, ensuring that your baking stone remains clean and functional, but still receives the benefit of being seasoned. There are a few things to remember about using baking stones. For one, there are very specific rules about cleaning the stones, as using soaps can destroy the stone and make it unsuitable for cooking pizza. When it comes to baking, there is a lot that you will have to remember. Unlike most other forms of cooking, baking is incredibly precise with its measurements and the methods that you use to bake. Before using them, just wash the dust off – don’t seal them or season them with anything and you’re good to go.

This means your baked goods will cook more evenly, which is especially important if you want a crispy crust on your pizza or bread. The surface of the baking stone is also porous, which helps it absorb moisture from your dough or batter, making your crust crispy and delicious. The amazing part about it is that it bakes exactly as a pizza stone does but it doesn’t require the same 45-60 minutes of preheating in the oven.

The traditional cookware items sold by Oakden, like our griddles and bakestones, are based on very old designs and they exhibit the characteristics outlined in (a) and (b) below. For hundreds of years people have used these very same designs to bake on, without issue, and with the proper care taken they are great products to use. However they do need to be used with care. After all, there are no separate pizza stone and bread baking stones. They’re all baking stones that are more frequently used for making pizza at home and that’s why we know them as pizza stones but, once someone buys one, they end up using them for baking bread, as well, and they end up getting addicted.

Other than that, there’s not much that I can add. It’s made of cordierite, it’s very good for baking breads and pizzas, but handle it with care if you don’t want to break it. Making cobbler: A baking stone is perfect for making cobbler, as it helps to create a nice, even crust.Follow the instructions when you get it and then you’re good for baking, this steel will last a lifetime. 6. NerdChef Steel Stone: Best Baking Steel for Bread If you want to avoid all that, just use parchment paper and you’ve saved yourself quite the trouble.
