About this deal

Like I also should have just read the prayer anyway and gotten it over with like I was supposed to. But I couldn’t. At school, Ali faces many in his class who side with the people, that the police are never there when needed and shoot first when they arrive. There is merit to the concern, though Ali does not want every police officer whitewashed with this stereotype. As he tries to have himself heard, Ali becomes the scapegoat for the police, with many feeling he is only spouting what his father professes at home. It’s supposed to be a big deal to get chosen for the children’s prayer at my church, especially on Christmas Eve. I guess you could say it was an honor. But my mind was like mush that night, and I was wishing they’d tapped someone else. Perhaps he is polyamorous. Maybe the question should be if he has any boyfriends, girlfriends, wives, and/or husbands? I haven't read it all, so I'm not sure what other kinds of ideas and agendas have been slipped in the text. Se tratan muchos temas interesantes como la violencia policial, el maltrato y la delincuencia y a la vez se introducen elementos muy atractivos para la edad, como los videojuegos.

Alex's son Ali is eager to follow in his father's footsteps as a detective, but when his best friend goes missing, what price will he have to pay to solve the mystery?Ali Cross is the new series for readers 9+ by James Patterson, one of the world’s most popular authors. Families can talk about detective stories, and why they're so popular. How does Ali Cross compare to others you've read? Have you ever thought you'd like to be a detective yourself? It was crazy. I didn’t believe Dad was guilty for a second—he said it was an accident. But try telling that to the crowd following us up the street that night. The closer Dad’s trial got, the more they were dogging him with nonstop questions everywhere he went. In fact, if anyone had asked me, I would have told them there was only one thing I wanted for Christmas that year. I wanted Gabe Qualls to be found.

Ali Cross Summary and Study Guide | SuperSummary Ali Cross Summary and Study Guide | SuperSummary

No. 3 in this series, this episode explores the very real tension between police and the communities they serve. Many police officers misuse their authority and also judge-before-they-know, resulting in shootings of people, often those who are innocent of any crime. This book differs from the previous two books and the title seems misleading. Ali isn’t actually solving any crimes as he’s caught up in tensions between the police and the public. The story itself is thought-provoking but it’s not what readers might expect when they start the book.

Unlike the two previous books in this series, there's no central mystery here. The title refers to Ali sneaking out to various crime scenes.Maybe I should have said a prayer for my dad, too. Because I wasn’t the only one dealing with some heavy stuff that night. I know this is usually a prayer for kids everywhere, but if it’s okay, I’d like to pray for just one kid tonight,” I said. “A lot of you know Gabriel Qualls. He’s in my grade at Washington Latin. He doesn’t really come to church, but the point is, he’s been missing for three days.” Want exclusive content, like free chapters, news, and sweepstakes? Register for the newsletter here! The last time I read a James Patterson book was probably a good 12 years ago? In that time, it seems like Alex Cross had a bunch of kids and the youngest one is solving mysteries.
