About this deal

When courtiers keep going missing from Clairdelune, Ophelia is unexpectedly drawn into the detective work of why and where these courtiers keep going. To solve this mystery and the secrets of her future husband, Ophelia must employ her abilities and keen mind to discover the truth. She is weary on who to trust and has to see above the illusions, before she loses herself in them as well. Quatre raisons de découvrir La Passe-Miroir, une fascinante saga fantastique". madmoiZelle.com (in French). 1 June 2017 . Retrieved 27 April 2018.

I adore the cold and hard Thorn and his very subtle softening toward Ophelia. It doesn't happen swiftly and it isn't evident very much. He is a hard worker though and comes to respect Ophelia and that I really admire! The harder they are the more gooey they are inside... Europa Editions has translated The Mirror Visitor remarkably well (a special thought for Hildegarde Serle), I know Here, and Only Here is in excellent hands.” You want to solve every problem on your own,” she continued in a choked voice, “even if it means using people like chess pieces, even if it means making yourself hated by the whole world.” You have a review space. USE IT. Oh, and no, "you read it wrong" does not in fact equal constructive criticism. It doesn't prove anything, except that for some reason you can't let it go. It's been two years. Give it a break maybe?Sabri_nao Fandoms: La Passe-Miroir | The Mirror Visitor - Christelle Dabos, Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice (2005) Interesting world and magic system but not explained enough. It could be due to us seeing it all through the eyes of a character who knows nothing so I hope to see more.

Dabos won the first "Premier roman jeunesse" (trad: "First young adult novel") contest organized by Gallimard Jeunesse, RTL, and Télérama in the spring of 2012, with her script for A Winter’s Promise. [1] Pyshic Ophelie is one of the two main protagonists of the literary series The Mirror Pass by the Belgian novelist Christelle Dabos. She is a reader living on Anima and married to Thorn . Set in the “School of Here”, the book is described by Europa Editions as "a unique, dark and disturbing novel that shines a light on the angst of being a teenager".Farouk is the Family Spirit of the Pole, an immortal creature, He is supposed to be gifted with extra-strong mental powers, but he is more inclined to the pleasures of the flesh. He is absolutely not interested in the fate of his descendants. His only concern is to deceive his worst enemy : boredom. Christelle Dabos takes us to the heart of a momentous otherworldly game, in which the fate of her characters hangs in the balance. The Storm of Echoes is a marvellous conclusion to a series that has captivated readers everywhere.

Full review to come soon! Thank you to Europa Editions UK for providing me with a proof copy in exchange for an honest review. Berenilde, hahahhahha, you won't know if she's you alley or your enemy! I did wonder at her incredible crush on their patriarch... It's a hard world that Thorn has lived in if this is his only ally... Long ago, following a cataclysm called the Rupture, the world was shattered into many floating celestial islands, now known as arks. Over each, the spirit of an omnipotent and immortal ancestor abides. The inhabitants of these arks each possess a unique power. Ophelia, with her ability to read the pasts of objects, must navigate this complex world using her trademark tenacity and quiet strength. This work is a translation of another work of mine, Honra e Prejuízo. I decided to translate it so that it could reach more people. Forgive my mistakes, but I did my best, even though English is not my mother tongue. Series

In the gripping third volume of Christelle Dabos’s best-selling saga, Ophelia, the mirror-travelling heroine, finds herself in the magical city of Babel, guarding a secret that may provide a key both to the past and the future.

Le Monde.fr (in French) . Retrieved 27 April 2018. And when Berenilde specifically tells her “Listen, this is important, Gustave is going to approach you with an offer, tell me at once when he does” what does she do when Gustave indeed approaches her? NOTHING. Does she warn Berenilde? OF COURSE NOT. I swear she’s dumber than a goat. Let me start by saying that my two parts won't be sole translations : first because translating bores me to death, and secondly because given the fact that Les Fiancés de l'hiver is a French book, I just don't see the point in rambling in English about it. First off Archibald's castle, changing spaces, masterpiece of architecture is literally a place I WANT to visit! It is an embassy where the different rivals can come and not be killed off... only is it as safe as they say?! Well there are some magical things like taking rooms to their own spaces, that do a good job at maintaining safety but there are always ways to get around those features...The only criticism I have for the book is the dragging in the middle when Ophelia arrives to Pole, and tries to get to know people. The relationships, the court dynamics took too long to settle in my opinion. It’s a classic pit hole in fantasy books, and unfortunately Dabos couldn’t escape this as well. Europa Editions UK has scooped Here, and Only Here, a new YA stand-alone novel by Christelle Dabos, the author of The Mirror Visitor Quartet (also Europa Editions).
