About this deal

The SA-77 is the SA-76’s bigger brother. When looking at both models, they are visually almost the same, with the 10-song bank, 50 patterns, and 100 tones number shortcut list on the top of the keyboard. For starters, this mini keyboard is obviously smaller than other keyboards, but with 44 mini-sized keys and the features, options, and functionality, this makes it the ultimate portable keyboard. Directly below that are the power, volume, a digital screen that displays the tempo, tone, pattern, tuning, and song bank, a numbered keypad with a + and – buttons to easily navigate through the banks. Regardless, the clean, vintage sound you get from these models are sure to be nice to your ears. If the lifelong musicians can appreciate it, you will too.

It’s important to note that the SA 77 is also included in our roundup for the best keyboards for kids.In the middle is a large LCD screen that shows the user which patch or sound they are navigating to. The LCD screen has a perfect position and it is of good size as well. For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs.

There are many fun functions on the Casio SA-76 to enjoy. You’ll find 50 different rhythms which sound wonderful enough for their function. At least, they will help your baby develop their sense of composition and rhythm as they play their keyboard. When looking at the Casio SA 77, you may mistake it for its little brother: the Casio SA 76. However, there’s one big difference. The bottom portion of the SA 77 is grey, whereas, it is orange on the SA 76. The Casio SA-76 comes with a max polyphony of 8 notes. We must confess that we hitherto didn’t that a digital piano could come with a polyphony of 8 notes. But here we are with the Casio SA-76 – 8 count polyphony. The polyphony feature is great for beginners, because they can practice combining a number of notes, creating a unique melody of all 8 notes at once, without losing the notes.

The song bank has only 10 songs, for which the likes of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star is one of the Casio SA-76/SA-77’s greatest hits The Casio SA-76 comes with 100 tones. Of course, if you’re even a smidge above the level of a piano novice, you’ll know better than to expect anything out of the world. However, the best and most dependable of all the tones is the Grand Piano sound. Casio managed to fit quite a bit into the little frame. The top of the keyboard is full of the shortcut numbers to the 10-song bank, 50 patterns, and 100 different tones. But then again, it’s another reason we can’t recommend this for a kid that’s seriously looking to commit to music. An 8 note polyphony poses a serious limitation to what you can play. Even a 32-note and 64-note polyphony are somewhat limiting. An 8-count would be even more so.

If you currently own a nice digital piano or a keyboard that you really dig, this can work as a portable option. Being so light in weight and cheap in price, it works perfectly as a second keyboard. The biggest difference visually is the larger screen in the middle, which displays the tone, pattern, song bank, tune, and tempo in an easy to read fashion. The Casio SA-76 is a super small in size. Much much smaller than your average, even portable keyboard. Since there are only 44 keys, it’s perfect for any little kid just wishing to have fun without all the befuddlement of 88 keys and all. A large button in the middle of the keyboard is used to be able to toggle between piano and organ tones easily. Power Supply: Optional UK Power supply (AD-E95100LG) or EU Power supply (AD-E95100L) (sold separately) or 6 AA-Size Batteries (Not Included) Do you have experience with this keyboard? What do you think about it overall? Let me know in the comment section below. The SA 77 includes a songbook that toddlers can take advantage of. It’s not the greatest book, but it’s definitely a nice book to be included. Here are other piano books that toddlers can read. Overall Thoughts

The Casio SA-76 is a jolly good instrument, no doubt. However, it does not deliver even half the features and functions the beginner needs to begin his musical journey. Also, the large orange button has 3 settings, piano / organ / harmonium, as opposed to the two piano / organ settings on the SA-76.Overall, the Casio SA 77 is a perfect option for beginners and toddlers. For this price range, I don’t believe there are a lot of other options that truly compete with this keyboard. There are videos online that display how versatile these keyboards can be when ran through a PA system and other line devices. As for the weight, we’ve got to say that this might be the lightest we’ve ever seen at less than 4 pounds. So, get ready, this piano will be getting an automatic plus one for every road trip you have planned. Every kid, teenager, to even the brightest, most experienced music professional can get plenty of use out of the Casio SA-76. Mostly because of its portability.
