Always apply the sealer evenly in thin layers, and don’t let it pool. You will need the coating to be completely even for it to dry to a clear, smooth finish. There is another option which is cheating basically, but would cost less and if done correctly, no one would know the difference unless they went up and touched the wall.

Do not allow any sealer to simply dry on the surface, it should all have been absorbed into the treated surface or be removed (where present) after 20-30 minutes.

After sealing your surface, use soapy water or mineral spirits to clean out the sealer from the pump sprayer. You may also want to read the manufacturer’s instructions for other cleaning tips. Any sealer you select should manage concrete dusting and prevent efflorescence, which is a powdery white substance that can appear on top or below surfaces.
