While unstabilised tablets are available, stabilised chlorine tablets are recommended for outside pools. This is because sunlight can break down chlorine and the chemicals used in the stabilised tablets ensures the chlorine remains effective no matter how much sun exposure your pool gets. Maintain pH level within the ideal range of 7.2 – 7.6. If outside this range please use our PH plus or PH minus products to adjust for the best results.

These chlorine tablets are one of the most popular products for ensuring swimming pool water is safe and bacteria free. They are stabilised to minimise chlorine loss to sunlight. They slowly release chlorine over 3–5 days depending on the water flowing over them.

Packaging

Add 1 Large Chlorine Tablet (200g) to 45 cubic metres of pool water when used in the skimmer basket. The dose rate if offered as a general guide for private pools. Heavily used pools and those maintained at higher temperatures will require increased dosage. Test for actual requirements by using a poolside test kit, adjusting the dose rate as necessary to maintain a minimum free chlorine level of 1-3ppm. A skimmer is the fastest way to add chlorine to the pool, with a tablet taking around five to seven days to dissolve. You’ll need one tablet per 10,000 gallons of water here. If you opt for a floating dispenser, it’ll take around 10 to 14 days to dissolve and you’ll need one tablet per 7,000 gallons of water. Be sure to clean your skimmer or dispenser thoroughly before every use. Dose rate is normally 1 to 2 tablets (placed into the skimmer basket, floating dispenser or chlorine feeder) per 45,450 litres (10,000 gallons) of water. Large Chlorine Tablets are slow dissolving and suitable for use in both private pools and small commercial pools. An easier way of maintaining chlorine levels in your pool water, 200g Chlorine Tablets are placed in the skimmer, floating dispenser or chlorine feeder (trichlorinator). When dosed via the skimmer the tablet(s) will dissolve slowly over a 3 to 4 day period, the rate at which they dissolve will vary depending upon water flow and temperature. They have a high level of available chlorine and contain chlorine stabiliser.
