I'm going to be using 10440 cells for a project I'm working on and I'm having difficulty finding out what batteries I should get. You guys seem to know your batteries since you work with them so much, so I figured this would be a good place to start. The device has a current draw of 100mA that stays more or less constant, and I would like to get as much battery life as I can. The batteries must be protected since the device does not have li-ion undervoltage protection at all.
The design of the 10440 battery is similar to that of the 18650 battery, but with a smaller form factor. It is cylindrical in shape, with a diameter of 10.4 mm and a length of 44.0 mm. It has a nominal voltage of 3.7V and a capacity of 3.2Ah. It has a maximum continuous discharge current of 2.5A, and a maximum peak discharge current of 6A.
