The Theta Z1 has 4-channel spatial audio. It is able to record both horizontal and vertical direction of sounds. In a 360 video, the sound will change accordingly, depending on which direction the user is viewing, thus increasing the immersiveness of the video. However, unlike the Theta V, the Z1 does not have a microphone input and cannot use the optional TA-1 microphone of the Theta V. Both cameras have good spherical audio although it performs better in GoPro Max also because of the advanced wind noise reduction. Videos shot with all RICOH THETA models are supported (excluding videos shot with the file size “1280 × 720”). Videos may not be converted depending on the shooting environment and conditions. if you make a local change to the left edge, you should do it to the right edge as well (because the photo will wrap around). The photos look sharper thanks to the high resolution in the Z1. To get different levels of exposure, you can adjust the aperture.

We were able to see the Android version in action, but the iOS version for iPhone and iPad is not quite ready yet.
