About this deal

The term party is a bit subjective; what one person considers a party, another may consider a small social gathering. Nonetheless, we believe that volume is important when choosing a party speaker. Our list focuses primarily on loud party speakers that are able to cater for gatherings of more than 50 people. That said, we have also included a few options for those who prefer their parties a little more tranquil and perhaps aren’t looking for the loudest speaker available; for that, you can take a look at our loudest Bluetooth speakers list. Portability The ION Pathfinder 280 is worth a look if you're shopping for a party speaker on a budget. This powerful speaker offers solid performance for the price, and it comes with many of the same cool party features as the more premium speakers on the list. For example, the speaker has RGB lights that you can customize in different colors to set the mood at your next event, as well as a graphic EQ and several presets to customize its sound. There's even a Boom preset designed to add more emphasis in the bass range. And since it lasts over 68 hours off a single charge, you can host multiple events without worrying about a recharge. When it comes to sound, voices and lead instruments are clearly and accurately reproduced right out of the box, and there's a touch of extra rumble in the bass for genres like EDM and hip-hop. Thanks to its graphic EQ, this speaker is also customizable, and some presets are even available in its companion app. That said, compared to the similarly-priced JBL PartyBox 310, you don't get as many features. You won't find any inputs for guitars or microphones, and there aren't any lights to amp up the party. Still, you may not want these features in the first place, and the best portable partyspeaker remains a great choice for taking your music wherever you go. JBL’s PartyBox Encore Essential can be described as a portable version of the popular, powerful PartyBox speakers, which vary in size from larger tabletop speakers to colossal speaker towers. Although these speakers have built-in lights, they can still be paired with external effect lighting for a brighter and better effect. For example, a simple jelly ball light placed on the floor in the corner of the room will project patterns against the wall and ceiling surfaces, adding a nice touch to the room. Laser and strobe lights are another good addition, providing a higher-intensity lighting experience to suit different events.

The Marshall Woburn III still supports high-quality Bluetooth streaming, now using Bluetooth 5.2 for improved connection stability and range. We also find many of the same port connections as the Woburn II, though we now have an HDMI Arc connection port if you want to connect this speaker to your television.

The Sony XP700 is a large party speaker with customizable RGB lights. It's compatible with the Sony Music Center and the Fiestable apps, which lets you access extra party features and effects. That said, it doesn't produce an as extended low-bass as the JBL PartyBox 310 and doesn't get quite as loud.

Many of the options in this category are party speakers with lights built into them, providing an all-in-one setup with no additional equipment required. In most cases, the built-in lights can also be turned on and off, meaning that you can use the speakers in a more professional manner without lighting if required. The lights come with a variety of styles and colours, ensuring an exciting atmosphere when used for parties in a home setting. One of the largest, most powerful, and most impressive Bluetooth speakers on the market is the 3 rd generation Soundboks. While it isn’t easily transportable, the monstrous volume levels make up for this. One of the JBL PartyBox Encore Essential’s main selling points is the interactive light show, which pulses to the beat of your music and can be deactivated if you prefer. JBL’s signature sound characteristics are present here, bringing on thumping low-end, with the option to further enhance it using the bass boost function while maintaining the high-end clarity and midrange depth. The Partybox Encore Essential can also get reasonably loud, I’d say loud enough to power a medium-sized party, and the battery life is as reliable as always when it comes to JBL speakers. The battery of the Aiwa Exos-9 is, in my opinion, where it falls short. Lasting up to 9 hours, it can certainly power a night-long house party, but pushing the volume limits will prove to shorten this battery’s lifespan, which is already incredibly low. To add to this, the battery has to be removed to be charged, so the speaker can’t be used while it refuels, unfortunately. EQ controls are usually available in the form of bass and treble dials, which allow you to boost or lower the low and high frequencies being reproduced. This can be highly beneficial when playing bass-heavy music, as some minor tweaking may be required to achieve the best sound. Party speakers with lights Probably the most durable Bluetooth speaker we’ve ever reviewed, the 2 nd Generation Turtlebox speaker is reliable, extremely loud, and unique.

Another common addition with lighting and speakers is smoke machines. By using a smoke machine, the light beams being produced by the lights will become visible through the air, which is an impressive 3D effect that massively improves the effect of your lighting, as well as the overall mood of your party. When paired with party speakers that have built-in lights and sound-reactive components, this can help elevate your party to the max. Efficient designPreviously, the battery life in party speakers was not great. In recent years manufacturers have made significant improvements to Lithium-ion technology resulting in incredible battery life in portable Bluetooth speakers. I would have liked to see a speaker mounting option for a party-focused speaker, like the other PartyBox speakers, especially since it is smaller. The PartyBox Encore Essential doesn’t have a hard time being heard, and projects sound powerful and retain clarity at higher listening levels. When we put together this list of what we consider the best party speakers currently available, we wanted to approach it a bit differently than just providing a list of products that don’t really give you much information as to which is best for you. In turn, we spent time trying to best break down these categories to make your buying process easier. Budget

Speakers have limitations, and we tend to push our party speakers to the max. This can damage your speaker, which means the party is over early. Running a speaker at 80% is less likely to cause damage than running at 100% all night. If you’re having a big party, make sure you have some big speakers. Tip 3 – Waterproof Does Not Mean Invincible The ION Pathfinder Go is a smaller, more affordable alternative to the ION Pathfinder 280. However, the GO doesn't get as loud, and its default sound isn't quite as neutral, which some users may not enjoy. As for output levels, the Sony SRS-XP700, at maximum volume, reaches an average reading of 99dB- enough to power a medium-sized house party with people talking over the music. More importantly, the sound quality remains tight, clear, and punchy at all volume levels, where some encounter distortion territories.Party speakers are versatile and can be used in a variety of settings beyond just parties, such as outdoor gatherings, tailgating events, picnics, and other social gatherings where high-quality audio is desired. They are typically designed to be durable and withstand the rigours of regular use, with rugged construction, efficient speaker drivers, and powerful built-in amplifiers. Standard wired inputs are another connectivity option, which usually come in the form of stereo RCA or AUX inputs. These inputs give you the ability to connect devices without wireless functionality, such as a CD player, record player, or television. A wired audio connection is more reliable than wireless streaming, and also provides better sound quality, although many people would not be able to notice the difference in quality between a Bluetooth and wired signal. From one of the world’s leading amplifier designers, the Marshall Woburn III is the latest iteration of the Woburn model. Like the Woburn II, this speaker is not battery-powered and will require an AC power connection.
