About this deal

The Brut effect, which compliments a man's natural self-confidence and reliability, endures. Hopefully, for many generations to come.

The main difference between Brut Splash On and Brut Aftershave is that the aftershave contains menthol, whereas the splash on does not. There are also several other differences such as alcohol content, longevity of scent and price between these two products. The only slight difference is the size – the Splash On tends to come in a larger volume of 7oz, whereas the aftershave tends to come in a 5oz bottle.I've tried wearing BRUT aftershave with a handful of fragrances. The anosmia it triggered 100% impacted the way the perfumes smelled and never in a good way. The only fragrance that seemed to get along with BRUT aftershave was, um, BRUT cologne. If you're already going to wear the cologne, why use the matching aftershave when its performance is so poor? BRUT is one of the most classic and authentic barbershop smells you can find ,and its aromatic qualities ,sweet and wet talcum powder vibe ,subtle herbals and smooth over all effect declares it one of the best of its genre . Fougéres are my 'bread and butter' fragrances. I have three natural artisan ones, and own six different profiled ones from an assortment of brands. Ranging from mostly traditional and aromatic. The reference points are well known, and I'm obsessed with the family.

For this reason, it may be less suitable as an aftershave compared with Brut AS which has a slightly lower alcohol content. Today I received my 88ml bottle, the glass one, with the vintage aspect. You (he or she) may very well be laughing and know that I will not sleep tonight of preocupation (LoL - just kidding - lets say I care for what u think). Well, some scents have some meaning just because are related to some very specific period of life, and as for my case its associated to my last year of college. With 16 I used to take the Brut Deodorant from my father. And from that time I just have good memories. Ok, not many girls that time so I can't talk about any seductive aspect (in fact, I never thought in that way, not that time and even not today - I just like the way it smells - maybe by fault of those memories).Being a passionate lover of Givenchy’s Gentlemen, Azzaro PH, Guerlain’s Héritage etc., I never trembled for such an ancient, quasi–prehistoric, scent as Brut… I used to have some memories about the green plastic bottle of the 90’s… or some about the current Fabergé’s “Original” version, in the squared glass (pictured above)… BRUT Cologne is one of the all-time classic powdery-floral fougères... I mean, sure, not one of the best perfumes, but certainly iconic. Fresh from the bottle, the punchy citrus, basil, and anise can be off-putting to many. Somewhat medicinal. As they fade (but don't disappear) into the floral heart of lavender, geranium, and weird ylang-ylang it becomes sweeter and more powdery. It all rests on a subtle base of oakmoss, sandalwood, tonka, and assorted woody notes. The overall effect of the drydown is a sweet-spiced floral shaving cream. Best enjoyed from a slight distance (rather than right up close), BRUT is unmistakably masculine, old-fashioned, and casual. BRUT Splash On earns a SpongeScore of 4/10: a milder-scented, slightly less disappointing way to experience BRUT that plays nicer with your perfume collection.
