About this deal

So to me, this is very sexy I think it reminds me of by the fire place it’s a warm fragrance and would do fantastically in the winter or even autumn the dry down is absolutely stunning. It reminds me of a brown sugar melted in a pan. I get almost an alcoholic cognac type of note in here This is thankfully in my opinion not potentially cloying like it, but I find it even sweeter than Joop Homme, so know that if you tend to get nauseous or dizzy by overly sweet fragrances. This smells like you could drink it. I actually don't mind the sweetness of it, it goes a certain cool direction, but loses me at the medicinal, air freshener woodiness. Whenever you feel like wearing a powerfull Oud fragrance, but want it well behaved and not disturbing your fellow common wearer and lover of citrus scents, you may well elect Ameer Al Oudh as one of your favourites fragrances.

Smells like a dessert is cooking in a wood fire. Even the scent feels warm to my nose and there is this uncanny wood smoke aftersmell/nosefeel when I exhale. It's a different scene, and it isn't as comforting nor is it as well rendered as By the Fireplace. It is, however, still very interesring in it's own right and there is plenty here to grab your attention and bring your nose into. It also performs better on my skin, so that is nice, but the opening is truly terrible. That campfire was started with lighter fluid, my friends. Do not smell this or be smelled in the first 15 minutes of wearing this. Seriously, it's bad. I almost washed it off and put in on my trade shelf hoping someone else might like it. Just give it a chance though, or consider rubbing it in to tamp out some of those top notes (Gasp), once the initial miasma of lighter fluid and cotton candy calms down it becomes something that is quite enjoyable, if not as breathtaking as By the Fireplace. It only seems to get better as it develops, changing drastically about 3 or 4 hours in. If I had to say which season this would be most compatible with / reminds me of then - autumn definitely, and winter. But truthfully, it would be nice no matter the season, the weather should just not be very warm. So, on a colder summer night - why not? :) Uniqueness: 8.0 (quite unique for a Cambodian Oud fragrance that is very wearable and not offensive)

this is among the most dramatic fragrances I own , and despite the fact that most of fragrance community consider this is as a (By the fire place clown ) I think it has it's own character and there is a lot going on and is far from being linear.

The glass bottle is solid. Mine showed "shelf wear" from rubbing around inside the box, or it just wasn't finished to perfection in the factory. The cap is curious... just a press-fit (no snap) of nicely clear lexan/plexiglass with three faux gems installed on the top. It's actually a decent looking bottle.

Words of advice: Preferably do not wear this in warmer seasons. I'd advice people to wear this in chilly to colder weather, for that is when it's able to smell it's best. During warmer weather I find it, somewhat suffocating and a bit sour. And also go easy on the trigger. Two to three sprays are really enough. Synthetic Oudh (with these prices it is faux Agarwood, even in Maison Francis Kurkdjian's Oud Perfumes it's fake according to Oudh pro's), can come across as rubbery, more specific: burnt rubber, as petrol like, musty moldy hay, or even - which is closer to the indolic Indian real deal - quite animalic. That's a euphemism for a dirty barn or actual excrement. Yes, poo. Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud is highlighted with a rich creamy sugar and vanilla blend, while well supported by a lightly-roasted chestnut-iness and a noticeably exceptional use of smoky wood(s)*, perfectly complimented by sweet clean oud, herbal spirits and hints of dark cacao within the composition, tying it all together for a VERY captivating experience! *Incredibly, there are actually (3) different woods "working" here separately, and at the same time---dry smoky woods, smooth soft-sweet smoky sandalwood, and sweet agarwood (oud); with the smokiness ideally and pleasantly balanced. Full disclosure: Some here are quite opposed to the fairly pronounced herbal/medicinal essence overlaying the 15-minute open, or even its subsequently more reserved presence within the fragrance--while most will appreciate what it brings to the composition in creativity, aura and dimension. This ambery-colored fragrance is dusty and warm, cozy-sweet, enjoyably calming, enrapturing, and inviting. A predominantly unisex fragrance, though leaning masculine for some women (primarily due to the smoky woods). And a solid entry-level consideration if you'd like to take a real first step into "oud". (ie. having more than just a hint or touch of it). The clean sweet oud here is noticeably present but not overwhelmingly so, being superbly executed, much a result of the composition's truly exceptional blending. .....The late stages of this fragrance transition into a smooth, soft sweet, very slightly smoky, nutty-woody experience, keeping your attention to the very end as a skin scent. This scent reminds me of Istanbul. Oudsy, somewhat Middle Eastern, people love it without regarding its overpowering bad sides and beautiful.I've been wearing it every day for a week straight after I got it. And I know it's spring and I hoarded a buncha spring perfumes to specifically wear IN SPRING... but I'm too addicted to this one :') I love an oriental frag on a hot summer day, i don't mind the warmth of them at all, so I would consider this to be an all year round fragrance. The performance is quite high and you are bound to have a 10~12 hours longevity and a sillage of more than six feet at its peak. Yes, when it arrived and I did my blind buy first spray - I was turned off and told my boyfriend I'm giving it to him.

I love Khamrah, but it gets annoying after a while; opens so nice but eventually gets too powdery and feminine on my skin. I'm legit getting hungry, like when walking through the mall and smelling those candied almonds or fried donuts. 😁 This fragrance from far away hits my nose similarly. That said, BTF is one of the highest quality designers I've smelled out there, and while AAO can't meet that bar, it does smell verry verry pleasant. Good quality too, it certainly smells upper tier designer in smell. I was really pleasantly surprised by this. Also projects and performs pretty good too. Now, 24 hours after a single spray application, it still lingers as a skin scent.Despite my skin Ameer Al Oudh Intense oud lasted until the next day on my hand (with the last few hours obviously a skin scent), and can STILL be scented on my sweater; it has been over a week now. I often wear that sweater in the evening over pj's when I'm getting cold, but I had to remove it from my bedroom so that it wouldn't constantly smell like Intense oud in here. That was the case for the first 3 to 4 days. I sprayed 2.5 times on the same spot (the 1st hit on the atomiser my finger slipped, so it was a sputter: 0.5). this was my first "Gulf fragrance " as many arabs call it. and I never regret it . it is so nicely done and performance is decent. Quality: 8.5 (Above average quality, good performance, quality ingredients, nice heavy flask, good sprayer) Perfect for outdoors in the cold and if your indoors just a couple of sprays will be all you need 9/10
