During our review, we found that the Smart Cook System achieves perfect doneness levels for different types of meats. This can be done by selecting one of four different protein settings and using the Foodi Smart Thermometer, which sits on the side of the appliance when not in use. The Smart Cook System will then monitor the internal temperature of the meat via the thermometer, and detect when the meat is finished cooking per your settings. Why should you buy a fryer with a see-through window feature? What are the advantages? 1. Easy to monitor The formats above cover standard air fryers, but another type of model worth considering is a multicooker. These often include an air frying mode, along with settings for pressure cooking, sautéing, steaming and more. Multi-cookers and rapid cookers massively expand your cooking capabilities, with an option such as the Ninja Speedi, for example, making one-pot 15-minute meals a possibility. Which functions are important?
We have not scored based on baked goods like cake because cake and most other desserts benefit from an even distribution of gentle heat, and most air fryers don't have heating elements on the bottom in addition to on the top (though fruit crumbles and air fryer donuts come out great!).It cooks brilliantly and runs very quietly (we recorded 50.4dB on test), with Quiet Mark certification, but inevitably there's a trade-off to get that smaller size. This enables versatile cooking functions, including air frying and dehydrating options, in one product. In research, we found the air fryer uses 85% less oil compared to the deep oil fryer. Our expert product tester Helen had a mixed bag when reviewing this buy. Whilst she overall liked the idea of the deisng, having to cook at the same temperature on both sides, combined with the frustrations she experienced with the perforated dividers, left her thinking you might be better off opting for an air fryer without the flexible zones. And instead plumping for either a decent size single zone or a good dual zone air fryer.
To get into the specifics, basket air fryers tend to smaller and therefore may be a little more economical than countertop oven models, but it really depends on voltage and how long you'll be using your air fryer for, so bear that in mind. I tried each of these air fryers in my own home on separate occasions. I used each of them in place of my usual air fryer for at least a week. During this time I was able to evaluate how easy they were to clean and how intuitive the interface and settings were to use on a daily basis.

It might be too big for single-person households unless you host a lot. And if you have a teeny kitchen, you’ll need to be prepared to find space for it, since it’s quite wide and tall.
