Autumn Reeser leads the cast of ‘A Bramble House Christmas’ as Willa Fairchild, the protagonist who is tasked with taking care of a terminally ill patient. The actor is famous for her work in several romantic comedies for Hallmark, besides her prominent role in HBO’s ‘Entourage’ and ABC’s ‘No Ordinary Family.’ David Haydn-Jones portrays Finn Conrad, the patient’s son. You must have seen the actor in ‘ Supernatural,’‘ Modern Family,’ and ‘The Last Kiss.’ I did like the cozy festive setting and cast of characters, most of all Scout – he really added so much to the Story. But the man meets woman, his secret revealing in a wrong moment (seriously, why didn’t he just tell her?!), the break-up, the make-up plus the Bramble-heirloom storyline felt so much more present than Scout and his special Christmas. Ultimately, Scout got his Christmas wish – to stay at Bramble House as long as possible. But it almost didn’t happen because of Finn.

Finn ends up bonding with both of them – making gingerbread houses, taking a carriage ride, ice skating, and helping Scout make his first book as a Christmas present for Willa. Then after the inevitable confrontation, suddenly Molly is totally convinced she was wrong about Willa (because Willa cried and said so and stormed out of the room?). When Finn Conrad’s recently deceased father leaves his nurse Willa Fairchild (that he only knew for a very short time) fifty thousand dollars in his will, Finn travels to the Bramble House B&B in Marietta, Montana, where Willa is spending Christmas with her six-year-old son, to find out some answers from her. Once he meets Willa and gets to know her, Finn finds that she is far from the gold digger that he thought her to be and falls for both her and her adorable son, Scout.How can we stay mad at Finn after he promises to make everything up to her and Scout, promising the best Christmas, New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, Arbor Day and even National Ice Cream Day. “Any day that you will let me make special for you.” Egged on by his bitter mom and concerned sisters, Finn Conrad goes to Marietta, Montana to see who this woman is and what hold she had on his father.... Talking about the filming process, Autumn Reeser (Willa) told Starry Mag, “We shot on this horse farm and it was really quaint. We had a lot of fake snow to make it look as Christmas as possible. I liked it because I didn’t have to be as cold as I usually am.” British Columbia is frequently used in Hallmark movies. The shooting usually takes place in summer, despite most of them being Christmas movies. The cast and crew put in maximal effort to tap into the wintry and magical vibe Christmas usually emanates because of the fact that these movies are produced way ahead of the holiday season. Even though Finn is gruff and starts in a dark place, he still cute and seems genuinely transformed by Willa.
