About this deal

The Spindle Stone is a detached pillar of Whin Sill east of the high crags of Spindlestone Heughs. The drawing of the Spindle Stone included in their report shows that the woodland is much denser below the crags these days. The 'Trough of the Laidly Worm' now seems to refer to a pond, now drained in the field just south of Waren Caravan Park. He can be everywhere in a worm hole. He's friends with the Mr. Men and Little Misses. On August 9th, 2018, Walter the Worm got his own book. Walter the Worm (aka The Mr. Men Worm) is a yellow worm mascot who appears in almost all of the Mr. Men books. Walter Worms ( Panagrellus Silusioides) are a species of nematode which is commonly grown as live fish food, especially for fish fry and juvenile fish. They are clear to white and have worm like shape and movement. This species is very small and can be hard to see without a magnifying glass or stereo microscope. Walter Worms aren’t parasitic and are completely harmless to humans. They are a fairly new discovery, only being classified in 2002 by Helmut Walter. Walter Worms are a great first food for tiny fish fry which may have trouble eating larger live food such as brine shrimp. Use of Walter Worms as Live Fish Food

In No Food is No Fun For Mr. Greedy, Walter was nearly caught and eaten by Mr. Greedy who was having hallucinations and thought that he was a sausage. However, it was later revealed that Mr. Greedy was only dreaming. By 1976, Hargreaves had quit his day job. In 1981, the Little Miss series of books began to appear. It, too, was made into a television series in 1983, which was narrated by John Alderton, who, with Pauline Collins, voiced the Men and Misses, respectively. Although Hargreaves wrote many other children's stories, including the Timbuctoo series of twenty-five books, John Mouse, and the Roundy and Squary books, he is best known for his 46 Mr. Men books and 33 Little Miss books.

[6] The stone trough, out of which the dragon daily drank the milk of seven cows, can no longer be found. The low crag of Whin Sill, defending the north side of South Hill above the marsh, is the likely location of the 'Hole of the Laidly Worm' which may be a spring said to emerge through a hole at the east end of the crags. The first edition OS 6" scale map (1865) shows a likely connection between the hole (spring) and the trough south-east of the pond.
