The flat base has improved durability and stability in free-standing mode from the previous Floor Stand model. No toppling!
Wall mount: This is attached directly onto the wall. Once fitted in place, you have no option to move the camera. If your baby’s crib is next to the wall, then the wall mount works perfectly. Note that you cannot buy the stand later since that’s not sold separately. Floor stand:This option gives you flexibility. You can place the camera anywhere by the crib or bassinet. It can lean against the wall or used in a freestanding mode. If your baby’s crib is not against the wall, the floor stand can be moved (freestanding mode) rather than rearranging the baby’s furniture in the nursery. Therefore this option includes the wall mounted option. Another benefit of this solution is that you don’t need to drill into the wall. Like so many premium baby monitors these days, you can buy a breathing band or swaddle with the Nanit Pro system. Both of these can be wrapped around a baby, which the Nanit camera can then identify and monitor breathing patterns. Again, this is another entirely personal choice as to whether you buy and use it. I know for some, monitoring a baby's heart rate and breathing can cause severe anxiety, and for others, they can't sleep without knowing their baby is wearing one. Nanit includes two 2.5 lb legs that attach to the base of the Clearance Floor Stand. With the Nanit stand in a laying position, carefully screw each leg to the base of the Clearance Floor Stand . Once the legs have been attached, carefully lift the Clearance Floor Stand into an upright position. This includes total sleep duration, sleeping positions, and how often they wake up. The Nanit mobile app, on the other hand, shows the result of the analysis.
