About this deal

We add shape and structure to the rear of the ship’s hull, and build up a technic tower, just behind the midpoint of the vessel. This will add strength to this region, probably contributing to a carry handle. Bags 4&5 The included Grogu - the Child LEGO figure affectionately known as Baby Yoda, adds an emotional touch to solo or creative play with friends The next minifigure is exclusive, and is none other than Moff Gideon himself. His head print looks accurate, but his torso print design is surprisingly simple and the legs are unprinted. Our completed guns rotate on a turntable. The guns are loaded with transparent bright green spring missiles, which look a lot like the laser blasts used by the Empire. As expected for a set of this size, the box is pretty massive. It has a neat design of the Imperial Light Cruiser flying through space, accompanied by a couple of TIE fighters.

The engine pods are large cylinders built using round panel pieces. 4×4 trans light blue radar dishes are used for the thruster glow, while there are some small greebling details around. There’s a 2×2 round red piece on the inside of the interior that you can press, which pushes an axle that launches out the TIE Fighter. Includes 5 LEGO minifigures: The Mandalorian, Cara Dune, Fennec Shand, Moff Gideon and new-for-August-2021 Dark Trooper

The aforementioned Technic structure occupies substantial space, leaving no opportunity for further interior which is disappointing. In addition, the proportions appear noticeably awkward here, particularly surrounding the bridge superstructure where the hull should be deeper. This section does integrate intricate texture though, complementing that towards the front. Nevertheless, these weapons are an enjoyable addition and two larger turbolaser turrets are positioned atop the hull. These can rotate and the barrels are individually articulated which is welcome, although the whole turbolaser structure elevates during the television series. I think recreating that movement would have been challenging here, particularly since spring-loaded shooters are situated between the barrels. Thankfully, there aren’t too many strange colors that stand out, which is often a problem that plagues large LEGO Star Wars ships. The only ones that look a bit out of place are the blue Technic pins on the side walls. The decorated arms appear particularly outstanding on this minifigure, even featuring the tiny Mudhorn signet alongside accurate weaponry. However, the continued use of an undecorated head beneath the Mandalorian's helmet is disappointing, especially since this hero memorably removes his helmet and reveals his face to everybody aboard Moff Gideon's vessel.

However, this area is unfortunately inaccurate – in between each main thruster there should be two smaller thrusters, and as such the design of this rear section does not match the in-universe ship. Nevertheless, I still like the look of this area, it’s just a shame the extra thrusters were omitted. The first figure included is The Mandalorian himself, Din Djarin. This figure is no longer new now, having appeared in around 6 sets, but it’s still an excellent figure. He is armed with his blaster rifle and a beskar spear. It’s still a decent figure, with good head, torso, and leg printing, but I wonder if another more interesting figure could have been included instead, since this minifigure already appears in another set.In this range, there were 24 minifigures released – two identical figures of the Mandalorian – so 23 distinct characters. (add 2 more from 75296 = 25 in total) In many ways, 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser is close to the limit of what it can be in functions, design and authenticity for the piece count and number of minifigures included. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the price, which stretches at least 30% beyond that same limit. I also have to disagree regarding Carla's hairpiece. It really looks nothing like her style in the show, and a new or different hair would have been preferred. Gideon looks very nice, however I feel like the reddish brown doesn't suit him. One of the nougat shades would probably be better. Fennec looks absolutely brilliant though, figure of the year contender for sure! Despite the missing hairpiece, it looks amazing and so detailed! The front end of the cruiser opens up in much the same way many previous LEGO Star Destroyers have – this time in one large folding panel – to house a minifigure-scale interpretation of the ship’s bridge. It’s relatively sparse, with only four control panels, a couple of storage boxes and a central desk to populate the location, but that’s pretty similar to how it appeared in The Mandalorian, with plenty of space left over for the many characters that came together in the Season 2 finale. This vessel closely resembles the Arquitens-class Command Cruiser, integrating an identical notch towards the prow. The shape here looks reasonable and I welcome this mixture of light and dark bluish grey colours. However, several blue Technic pins are clearly visible inside the notch and these look awful, which is particularly disappointing because they could easily have been concealed behind tiles.

Includes 5 LEGO Star Wars minifigures: The Mandalorian, Cara Dune, Fennec Shand, Moff Gideon and a new-for-August-2021 Dark Trooper The starship toy features a bridge that doubles as a handle for flying and 2 rotating turrets with spring-loaded shooters for epic battles And, with the cover open, there’s enough space to recreate iconic scenes from the Mandalorian season finale! Last but not least is Baby Yoda aka Grogu, who isn’t a new figure, but still looks absolutely adorable. The third figure is the first-ever minifigure of Fennec Shand. She has excellent torso and leg prints, a new double-sided face, and a new helmet that matches the in-universe design.Monkie Kid 80054 Megapolis City: 10 Reasons That This Middle-Aged AFOL Is Excited!
