It had secrets, lies, twists and turns. But the passion that burns between them is absolutely mind blowing! This entire trilogy had me rooting for them while simultaneously cursing them out for everything. What a wild ride! Can I just say that for a nerd and sociopath, Kirill is one swoony mf. He is so calm and calculated and won't hesitate to use whatever means necessary to achieve his end goal, whether it be physical, mental, or emotional abuse, he is the master manipulator and deserves his role as Pakhan.

This book started with a bang and kept me interested through to the end. I loved the fact that we finally get to see Sasha’s point of view of what happened to her family on that tragic Christmas so long ago. We also get a lot more insight into the way Kirill thinks and why he is always building a house of cards while thinking of strategic matters.

One thing I loved about this series was always the cast of colorful supporting characters which continued in this book. I love all the bratva leaders, especially Rai, who is a fierce protector of womankind and Damien, who has only ever wanted to fight Kirill to see who is the tougher man. Friendly Maksim and broody Yuri have also been favorites since they were besties with Sasha. They change and come into their own quite a bit in this story as well. Sebastian York and Brooke Daniels were the absolute 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 pairing for narrating this trilogy. The deep, growly voice of SY truly brought Kirill to life for me. And the way Brooke Daniels played out the emotions of Sasha was epic!! Sasha is opposed to her families plan to kill everyone in Kirill family and refuses to approve the plan, instead she releases Maksim secretly and sends a message. She will speak with Kirill alone to finish this once and for all. The epilogue gives us a look into 2 timelines, one is 5 months later where Sasha's water breaks and the second one is 18 months later where we meet Vaughn (their son) who I have to say HAS TO BE WHITE MASK.

The scene was top tier comedy, cause this girl had all the opportunity to pull the trigger but kept monologuing and bidding her time lmao. not for Kirill though. that man only hears whistling between his ears because that brain of his is nowhere to be found. the 🔥. Their first scene was one of my favorites from all three books 🥵. It takes about half the book to get here, but jeeezus 😮‍💨. Kirill and his dirtiness 😉. He missed his wife, and he’s done waiting 👏🏻 For the first time in my life, I felt like my well-being mattered and that I meant the world to someone else."he didn’t even seem to like his own kid either. but all of it was written like i should find it funny. the humour was incredibly forced, the try-hard energy made me wince the whole time. The journey for Sasha and Kirill has not been an easy one. Both broken and jaded, secrets, betrayal, anger and tensions have these two at a crossroads, both with their own agendas, but their love for one another is something that cant be denied or fought any longer.

All that planning and instead of marrying her, Konsta married her that day instead and Kirill was named Pakhan. Everything was working out the way he wanted it, and instead of having Sasha be away for the original 6 months planned, he said 3 months would be enough now and he could have HIS WIFE finally at his side. After the brilliant pair that is Adrian and Lia, I can confidently say that Kirill and Sasha is my second fav Rina Kent pairing. These two have got to get their communication skills to a better level and what better way to do that than to take her to a secluded cabin for weeks and reignite their fire for each other?

this book stripped me of my sanity. my dignity. my humility... i am a shell of the woman i was when i first started this book. Sasha also had so many doubts, ugh, she constantly thought that Kirill would discard her because why not! He might love her, but he loves his power more, and the fact that she still has to take revenge! This book was filled with endless drama, constant push and pull, animosity between Kirill and Sasha, and a lot of miscommunication and trust issues. This book was good in its own accord, but I loved the others more!! This is one, dark, twisty Mafia romance you do not want to miss! You will devour this trilogy and be left catching your breath and reflecting on the entire plot line. Bravo, 𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐭! Bravo!
