About this deal

Choosing the right products is essential for efficient travelling during family getaways. Graco turned to their dedicated social media following to gain insight into parents’ thoughts and habits when travelling with their baby for the first time. Three-quarters of respondents opted to take their own travel equipment away with them for a ‘home away from home’ experience. CO-SLEEPING BED: the 2-in-1 bedside cot allows you and baby to sleep comfortably by each other’s side and or separately when the side is up – usable from birth up to 6 months The vibrations and motions change to fit your baby best, and the crib has built-in cry detection – gently enhancing when the baby is fussing to soothe them, and readjusting afterward.

How easy is it to assemble? — are you pretty hands-on and a DIY queen or king, or would you prefer something more straightforward to assemble? Some cribs are significantly easier to put up than others, so remember to think about this before purchasing. A crib or cot is a bed designed for a baby, which has high sides, so they don't fall out. Some cribs are also bedside cribs – a bassinet-style cot that can attach to the side of your bed for safe co-sleeping. When baby is over 6 months, these can sometimes be used as standalone cribs and moved to a different place in your bedroom or into their own nursery. Do you want to co-sleep? — if you do, then you'll need to look for a bedside crib, as these have been designed specifically for safe co-sleeping with your baby. They come with a panel that you can zip down and can be pulled close enough to your bed so that you're close to your baby without bed-sharing. Also, make sure it is suitable for your bed. Your baby's mattress should be in line with your own. Many cribs have different height adjustments so that this is possible. Although this makes the smart crib a bit bulkier, it contains a really convenient storage space underneath the crib, allowing you to keep baby wipes, diapers, or anything else you need in easy reach of your bassinet. The crib also has a built-in dimmable nightlight so you aren’t fumbling for any buttons in the dark. Don’t want to wake your baby up while you’re trying to keep them asleep.

Why won't my baby sleep in a cot?

Keep baby close in this snug bassinet that creates the perfect snoozing spot from the moment they arrive home. With its lightweight and sleek frame, you can easily move it from room to room as you go about your day.

It sits next to the bed nicely and at a decent height, not too low down or high up so you have a full view of your baby when you are laid down in bed. The mesh sides give good ventilation and breathability and a full view of your baby, which is really important to me, giving peace of mind at all times. The BabyBjorn Travel Crib Light and Lotus Travel Crib earned top marks for eco-health. BabyBjorn states that their product is "free from harmful substances and approved according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Class 1 for baby products" they go on to say "materials do not contain any harmful or allergenic substances." The Guava Family company makes the following statement about the Lotus Travel Crib, "The Lotus Travel Crib has been thoroughly tested for chemical emissions and is certified to the GREENGUARD GOLD standard, making it the only travel crib in the world to have received this rigorous certification." They go on to say that the Lotus is "… free of PVC, Lead, Phthalates, Formaldehyde, Heavy Metals (Cadmium, Arsenic, Mercury, etc.) and many others." I’m still a big fan of the SNOO personally, and although it is expensive, I wish I had the opportunity to get one of these for my fussy kids when they were little. Just imagine, all the sleep I could have got! Sweet2Sleep allows you and baby to sleep comfortably next to each other without sharing a bed. The side rail lifts and lowers to provide easy access to your little one while you are recovering. When Sweet2Sleep is strapped in, you can safely sleep with the side rail down as long as the top of your mattress is even with the crib mattress. When Sweet2Sleep is not strapped in, you should keep the side rail up if you are sleeping.Do you agree with my thoughts on the two sleepers? Do you have your own opinions or experiences with these smart sleepers? Do you think the SNOO is worth the money? Are there any other smart sleepers on the market you’d recommend or like to hear more about? The distance between each bar shouldn't be more than 6.5cm (2.5 inches), so your baby's head cannot get trapped. They should also be smooth and secure.
