Constructed with a steel frame supporting aluminium panels, the gallery allowed participants to take and leave art on the walls as they pleased. I spoke with artist Blake Marcus, and he tells me, "While speaking with what would eventually become our art crew at the burn last year (Blake Marcus, Seven, Chris Welch, Arsenio, Lindsay Milligan), we joked about how Burning Man had nearly everything. All that was missing was a live whale. We laughed and laughed; then we stopped to think about how we could bring this preposterous idea to the dust." The center sculpture is smaller in size and represents the government project. The ropes leading from the top of the outer columns represent input from the community. And the best part is the interaction between the artist and the attendees in that the artist will be teaching her art of folding used books into various articles to be hung from the connecting wires. The smaller sculptures are intended to represent the community’s support or aversion to the government project.

This romanesque structure in the desert was conceived by artists Jules and David Nelson-Gal as a "temple to human thought, altered by time, space and energy". The Hedgehog Temple is a powerful, visually striking tribute to the diverse Ukrainian creative community members who bravely defended their country during the war, including DJs, musicians, artists, journalists, and film directors. It encourages visitors to contemplate the sacrifices made by these individuals and the significance of community, support, and dedication. Wings of Glory is a female winged horse named Nebula Rider. She weighs around 4000lbs, elevated 20' in the air, with wings reaching almost 35' high. It was like building a space shuttle, with many people, builders, engineers and supporters all working together, and when it was ready, it shuttled everyone's imagination into the heavens, into the Nebulas of deep space. It captured people's inner child, as they would stare in absolute amazement and wonder with their mouths open wide, frozen. The exhibition starts from April 9th and ends on October 1st, 2022. You see, you’ll meet incredible people who you’ll tag along with or recommend things to you and your plans will just change – it’s amazing. Sourced completely from salvage, Paradisium was designed to represent a "comprehensive forest ecosystem" in the middle of the desert. According to the artist," Niloticus, or Tim as I call him, is the fourth water creature I have created for Burning Man.When I first attended Burning Man in 2013, I was taken by the expanse of the playa.The alkaline desert evoked a beach to me; I saw giant sea creatures rising from it.As a mosaic artist and diver, the fluidity of sea creatures appealed to me.So, I started creating them.Metamorphoses, Ovid’s epic poem, is literally Books of Transformations.I see art, at its essence, as transformation.I take clay and glass and through heat transform them into tiles which in turn are transformed into giant creatures. Niloticus, an ancient mythical creature, invites people to consider their scaly exterior and explore their personal transformations.How hard are their scales?When did they develop?Do they want/need to harden them more or soften them?What transformation are they experiencing?What further transformation do they seek?" Created by Nevada based mosaic artist Peter Hazel, Niloticus is a 40-foot long hand made mosaic tiled crocodile that invites visitors to climb on top of him. The features include hand-blown glass teeth and osteoderms that will light up in the night.
