Yamaha DBR10 Speaker Features: However, the Gear4music extended warranty scheme provides an enhanced service, and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than many 'free' warranties offered by some retailers and manufacturers. A Rugged, Highly Portable Cabinet

If you need to plug a mic directly into the speaker, it needs to be of the type that doesn’t require phantom power, and the sensitivity may also be a little lower than you’d be used to with a mixer, but it will get you by for announcements or musical applications where effects are not required. It’s always better to have this facility than not as it could get you out of trouble if somebody pours beer into your mixing desk halfway through a gig! Yamaha D-Contour offers intelligent multi-band dynamic processing which can continuously deliver sound that is natural, clear and powerful - regardless of volume. The technology constantly monitors the output of multiple frequency bands so that the system can sensea change, react accordinglyand adjust theEQ and compression so that you're always getting the best performance out of your speakers. Extensive DSP-controlled protection functionsDBR Series powered loudspeakers harness the same state-of-the-art Yamaha DSP, amplifier and speaker technologies developed for the professional DSR Series and DXR Series lineups, ensuring high-resolution sound at any output level. High-Efficiency 1000W Class-D Amplifiers Custom Designed Transducer - The high power output woofers deliver well-defined, powerful bass with minimal distortion, while the 1.4" precision compression driver* produces accurate mid-range and high frequencies. Yamaha use their own custom bass driver, comprising a two–inch voice coil and a 10–inch cone. Please note that this extended warranty is currently only available on products sold within the UK, EU or EEA, and is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed on the extended warranty certificate provided. I"d been playing acoustic guitar through a small acoustic combo amp, mostly doing solo "special music gigs." I"m generally not playing longer gigs, just a few songs for special events. I"d been happy for the most part with my small amp. Considering everything, it"s quite capable, especially when playing solo to a captive audience. I"ve had more than one occasion however when I turned down requests to play in a larger church or with a small ensemble. In those situations, the amp is less than adequate. I could be heard throughout the church when playing for a quiet crowd, but it just wouldn"t fill the room sufficiently. I should also make clear that I am not a fan of "DI-ing out." I"ve played in churches in particular for years. I"ve been burned on too many occasions to be comfortable with that. First off I've been running my Line6 HD500X through an old school Pioneer Head Unit that Pushes Twin Akia Speakers which has a total power of 500W. The Yamaha Speakers take the sound and brings clarity with the FRFR, I set the gain to 0db on the speaker and OH the glorious stereo guitar effect sounds I've been missing when I pair two of the DBR10's together. The DBR10's have the option to be pole mounted(Which I would suggest doing) or as floor monitors. Efficient, lightweight, and incredibly versatile. The Yamaha DBR10 boasts a high-performance Class-D amplifier that can deliver up to 700-watts of thunderous power. Combined custom-designed transducers, including a 10'' high-output woofer and precise 1'' compression driver, the DBR10 is capable of pumping out a hefty maximum SPL of 129dB. Perfect for filling your room with crystal clear sound with outstanding dynamic characteristics. With state-of-the-art DSP and technologies from Yamaha's professional DSR and DXR series, you have pure high-resolution sound that is suitable for any output level.

The Yamaha DBR10 is a two-way speaker. As mentioned above, the size is 10 inches, and the body is plastic. The premium feature in this speaker is its incorporation of 700W of Class-D amplification (325W ‘continuous’ power).

Giving you the flexibility of using it for floor monitoring, front of house, or rigged applications, the DBR10- 10" 2-Way Powered Loudspeaker from Yamaha is capable of up to 700W of dynamic output via its Class D amplifier. The loudspeaker features a 10" woofer and a 1" high-frequency driver and provides a maximum output of 129 dB. An on-board 2-channel mixers allows you to connect microphone or line level sources via 1/4", XLR, and RCA connectors. Thanks to its ergonomic handle and lightweight design the DBR10 is portable and can be easily transported. Like most PA speakers, this speaker occupies M8 rigging points and a 50-degree rear corner angle. This allows the speaker to double as a floor monitor. The speaker also allows freedom for mixing facilities. For example, in case of a simple job, the speaker has to be used in a stand-alone mode. The new DBR series makes the technology from Yamaha’s established DXR speakers available at an even more wallet–friendly price.

To ensure that the speakers have the highest possibly reliability, The DBR Series employs 3-way fail safe protection function that is controlled by DSP and ensures reliable operation of all internal components including transducers, power amplifiers, and power supplies. Yamaha are so confident in this system that they offer a 4 YEAR WARRANTY on the DBR speakers! Here's what Yamaha say about the DBR10 Active PA Speaker:The horn coverage angle is specified as 90 degrees horizontal by 60 degrees vertical. The main body of the cabinet is moulded and includes a sensibly placed top handle, as well as the expected 35mm pole mount in the base. Yamaha tell us that the DBR series of speakers, of which the DBR10 is the smallest, benefits from the transducer, amplifier and DSP technologies developed for Yamaha’s more upmarket DSR and DXR ranges. If you need something larger than this one, then there are 12–inch and 15–inch models in the range. The DBR10 has a frequency response of 55Hz to 20kHz. As mains, the church I was using them at had only one complaint—they looked too small. I had to grill them to get them to admit they sounded full and big and they finally admitted it. This was in a 200 seat ballroom and they had plenty of headroom for the typical guitar/keyboard duo. Keys sounded huge through them too. I was running four—two on the floor in stereo and two as mains with an Allen & Heath QU-SB digital board and an iPad. High-Efficiency 1000W Class-D Amplifiers - The DBR's lightweight, high performance Class-D amplifier is capable of producing up to 1000W* of power, achieving an SPL of 132dB, delivered with remarkable clarity and dynamic characteristics.
