About this deal

As the majority of pushchair companies provide adaptors for use with Maxi-Cosi infant carriers, you're sure to be able to use the Pebble Plus with your pushchair. When you're ready to remove the car seat from your adaptors on the pushchair, there are two grey buttons at either side of the seat, just to the side of the handle. They are memory buttons so it can be done one handed to press each button and then lift with the handle. The sound quality is excellent, with plenty of detail and a massive amount of bass if you turn the subwoofer up to 11. The S351DB is perhaps more at home with music and video sources than gaming because the system is tuned for warmth and balance rather than staccato detail but that subwoofer certainly gives gaming sound effects some serious impact. Creative’s new T60 desktop speakers are among the cheapest PC speakers you can buy that offer truly decent sound quality, instead of producing a noise that’s barely better than your laptop speakers.

The sound quality delivered by monitors and laptops tends to be pretty disappointing and PC speakers are the simplest way to upgrade your audio without the need for large amplifiers or lots of connection cables. There's a reason that the Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus is one of the most popular infant carriers available. Not only does it comply with one of the safest regulations available in the form of i-Size, but it looks good and is so simple to use. It's also offers great comfort for the child with soft, padded sides. The Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus is an infant car seat that is designed to provide a safe and comfortable ride for babies. This car seat has a mounting type of ISOFIX, which ensures that it is securely fastened to the vehicle's seat. Additionally, the Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus has a removable cover, which allows for easy cleaning and maintenance. Finally, our testers helped us to weigh up the comparisons between the Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus & 2wayfix base and other competitors on the market. Here's what our testers had to say about whether the Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus stood up to other rival products. Isofix base can be used with the Maxi-Cosi 2wayPearl (Group 1 car seat approx. 9 month – 4 years old)Mother&Baby Tester, Mahjabeen said:"The base is easy to install and I like the reassuring ‘bleep’ when it’s fitted correctly. The seat looks comfortable and Zahra seems happy in it and loves banging her feet against the footrest. The over-the-shoulder straps are easy to fasten. It almost deserves full marks, but I feel some other seats offer better value." Compared to AC powered 2.1 systems, the Creative Pebble Plus pales in terms of volume output. With that said, even at medium volume, these speakers are already able to fill up my small bedroom with sound. When compared side by side with the built-in Bang & Olufsen speakers of the HP EliteBook, the Pebble Plus sounds much louder. Also, the quality offered here is extremely impressive, as these speakers sound well-balanced, clear and full of life. Too big for some cars: A few of our testers reported that they had trouble fitting it into their car as it was too large.

This includes standardised crash testing for frontal collisions at 50km/h (30mph). In addition, Maxi-Cosi carry out its own frontal crash safety tests at 70km/h (40mph) and a variety of other side and frontal collision tests. The Pebble Plus also works decently well with movies. Watching the thriller “Get out”, These speakers were not able to deliver the same level of immersive experience produced by my SONOS Playbase and Harman Kardon Aura Studio, but still kept me engaged by offering relatively accurate positioning, and decent sub-bass presence. But with movies such as “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”, which contain lots of intense battle scenes and thus require a lot more soundstage, separation and treble boost than usual, the Pebble Plus simply sounds too crowded and cannot deliver the listening experience the sound mixing in those movies deserves.READ NEXT: Best gaming mouse – take your gaming to the next level What kind of connections should I look out for? As well as testing the Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus & 2wayfix base, we at Mother & Baby have taken a look at other existing models from Maxi-Cosi to see how they compare to this model of car seat with a base system. Read our full review of each of the car seats below. Maxi-Cosi Pebble 360 with FamilyFix 360 Base Mother&Baby Tester, Natacha, said:"The Pebble Plus is easy to use and is so versatile, having the ability to be placed in the car securely both with and without the Isofix base. It also is capable of attaching to several buggy frames e.g. Quinny and Bugaboo."

At Mother & Baby, we were assisted with help from our Mother & Baby Testers to review the Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus & 2wayfix base. During the testing process, we were testing for its overall performance, usability and build. Here's what our testers had to say about the Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus. For better protection in the event of a side impact collision, the side wings of the Pebble Plus have an impact-absorbing material inside. Just looking at the various safety testings that the Pebble Plus has passed gives you peace of mind that you have one of the safest infant carriers around. These include a 5-star ‘very good' rating in the "safety" category of the independent testers ADAC/TCS/ÖAMTC in October 2015. Day to day use Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of cables and that does hinder my opinion of the speakers to a degree. Adding four cables to a desktop that usually has one at most on it is a real drag. Different people have different levels of tolerance for cable management, so your mileage may vary, but that's a pretty major issue for me. Maxi-Cosi is a well-known brand in the car seat market and has a good reputation for thoroughly testing its own products. The Pebble Plus carries the orange ECE R44 approved label which means it complies with European safety standards (UN R129), as all car seats should. Speakers with Bluetooth aptX technology avoid most of the sound-quality compromises that can mar the audio quality of lesser Bluetooth speakers. However, some high-end speakers also offer Wi-Fi connectivity, which uses your Wi-Fi network to deliver improved wireless sound quality. This often goes hand in hand with the option of linking multiple speakers together as part of a multiroom speaker system.Birth to 4 years+ option: You can upgrade the car seat as baby grows to adapt until up to four years old.

That’s handy if space is at a premium but the Katana SE has more going for it than just its compact all-in-one nature. Its audio is clear and balanced and can be customised extensively using the Creative app, while the bar makes a decent fist of virtual surround sound. Its attractive LED display can be personalised, while connection options are wide-ranging and enable you to use the bar with your TV as well as your PC. Mother&Baby Tester, Sarah said:"It has a number of well thought-out features to make life easier and I was proud to be seen with the car seat which I think looks delightful. You have the option of both ISOFIX and seatbelt fix so it is versatile and easy to transfer from car to car if needed to without the need to remove the ISOFIX. This product oozes style and quality and is a wonderful step up from my previous Maxi-Cosi Cabrofix car seat." How does the Maxi-Cosi Pebble Plus & 2wayfix base compare to rival products? It's a high quality car seat that feels built to last until the full 75cm and is perfect right from a tiny newborn with the baby-hugg inlay, to an older baby. We love that the harness is so easy to adjust as your child grows and the stay open straps help when getting your child in the seat. Different colours and designs: Originally, there were fifteen different print and colour combinations to choose from. All three boxes are built from veneered MDF but there are no mesh grilles, making this a system that will appeal to users who want their speaker system to look “high tech” rather than “hi-fi”. Edifier even includes a remote control, although you can turn the system on and off and adjust the volume, treble and bass using controls on the side of the master satellite speaker, which also has a small and rather hard-to-read LED source indicator under the main driver.Mother&Baby Tester, Angela, said:"I absolutely adore this car seat for many reasons, not least because it is so beautiful! The seat is used in conjunction with the 2way family base and is compliant with the new isize regulations. The base can be used with this seat and then again with the next stage up. The base comes with isofix fittings or the seat can be strapped into the car using the seat belt." Yes, the Maxi-Cosi is compatible with a wide range of pushchairs including: Quinny, iCandy, Uppababy, and Bugaboo. Unfortunately, you'll have to shell out for the car seat adaptors, which are usually sold separately. How comfortable is this car seat? Unfortunately, removing it from a travel system chassis was another story: the buttons have to be pressed and the seat has to be pulled up at the same time, so you end up simultaneously pushing down and lifting up. To be honest, it's a bit of a faff, and surprising as the rest of the attachments are so smooth and simple.
