Lots of general-purpose weed killers will kill the weeds and grasses that appear on gravel drives, paths and between the slabs of patios. Some weed killers contain glyphosate, a systemic weedkiller that slowly kills all weed growth including the roots. Glyphosate weedkillers can be used in most areas of the garden except the lawn and the treated areas can be re-seeded or planted as soon as the weedkiller has dried on the treated leaves. Well, just simply mix the vinegar and washing up liquid together and then pour it directly onto the weeds or pour the vinegar mixture directly into a spray bottle and spray the desired weeds.

This product is fast-acting, kills weeds and the roots, and allows replanting within the shortest time possible. The Roundup Path Weedkiller offers even more value by providing the second-largest amount on our list at a whopping 3L. Though, you will still need to find some kind of spray bottle or a spray cap, as this product does not come with either, making it a touch less convenient. Unfortunately, Weedol Pathclear is not the easiest product to use as it must be diluted with water, but it at least comes in single-use tubes, so you do not have to worry about measuring out the concentrate. This weed killer also comes with a fairly strong formula that includes 125 g/l glyphosate. Like most weed killers I’ve tested, this product does contain glyphosate which isn’t wildlife friendly. Flower heads should be cut off weeds first, especially dandelions. First, consider whether this can be done using non-chemical means such as digging out or other methods like burning or the application of hot water. Where these methods are not feasible, chemical controls may need to be used.Timing is about 3 to 12 months. which means you can’t use the soil further for planting a new plant on those periods. We weeded the plots with the tools in late April, then weeded monthly for five months until late September. The jointing compounds were applied in late April and then weeded monthly if necessary. The glyphosate-based spray was first used at the end of April, then repeated monthly if needed up to the maximum number of sprays allowed as a control.

The spray applies nicely to wide areas like patios and driveways but is also precise too, meaning you can easily target weeds that are growing next to other plants. Just take extra care to ensure the solution doesn’t accidently touch your plants or flowers.
