About this deal

He played an active part in our Company for nearly 50 years, becoming a Freeman in 1715, a Liveryman in 1722, and ultimately Master towards the end of his working life. It is with great sadness that we report the death of Peter Sargenton August 9th. Peter was a life long supporter of the OSA and was President in 1975. Stanley Ward(class of ’44) died 15 April. Sir John Sparrow, a past president, Mike Andrews, Owen Rowe, our oldest member, David Bignell.

We received a message from David Davies on 16 February , informing us that Brian Harris (1951-1958) has died. We have been sorry to hear that Robert Gingelldied 12 August 2020, having worked in food sales Bob was able to more fully indulge his passion for sports in his retirement.Mary Andersonsadly died 24 thJuly, aged 97. Her late husband Allanwas, for many years, a very active secretary of the Association, with strong support from Mary – particularly in the Football Club House kitchen. We are sad to learn of the death of Richard Hudson (1964-1971) on 19 th May,from his brother Alan. Richard was a loyal and long-standing member of the OSA and lived in Crouch End. He regularly attended St Mary with St George’s Church and the OSA Carol Service. Richard also enjoyed his visits to President’s Day at Botany Bay CC. He was also a Freeman of the Company and went to the ‘Cakes & Ale’ service most years.
