About this deal

Fluke-Solvecontains 50% praziquantel, and its unique rapidly dissolving formulation means you can see it dispersing through the water as soon as you add it to your pond or tank. It successfully treats skin and gill flukes (Monogenean species), eye flukes (Diplostomum species) and intestinal tapeworms, even by immersion, and can be used in a wide range of fish including Koi Carp and Goldfish. Flukes (and fluke eggs) can survive in the detritus in a pond so a good clean up makes sense before treatment to remove these hiding places.

Take care to turn off skimmers while it is in use since they will remove the praziquantel from the water, as will modern filtration systems which use carbon derivatives or other adsorbent materials and some drum filter technologies.Helped me out there , my flukes are difficult to get rid of this year and some are still on the koi after 2 treatments (body flukes) so if its still active for 6 weeks the out look should be dead flukes Hope so mate, but this stuff should kill them all in 24hrs (body flukes) or so I was told. This is what I was told to do by Darren at AK and its what he does. I asked Fiona about it and the reply was its abit outdated but works but there's no need at all to do it that way. I think its supposed to remove some slime first??? I've no idea when it comes to medications that why I phone her up and asked so many questions. Better to ask and get the answers was my thinking lol. It can be used in the presence of salt when added as a therapeutic. Fish can be fed normally during treatment. In the case of some rare resistant egg-laying flukes repeat the initial dose after 3 weeks to ensure the active ingredients are in the water long enough to kill any hatching fluke larvae and break the cycle of infection. No – you do not need to use any chemicals such as potassium permanganate or chloramine T to strip the mucus before treatment. The mucus is part of the fish’s defence mechanism and Fluke-Solve Plus® will still kill the flukes in the presence of mucus.

Fluke Solve Plus uses a combination of the proven technology of Fluke Solve (praziquantel) with a new active ingredient (nitroscanate). The special formulation of praziquantel, which easily and rapidly dissolves in ponds and tanks, combined with nitroscanate, means you can see it dispersing through the water as soon as you add it to your pond or tank. A Yes, its best to, re dose if you carry out any water changes for the amount of water you change. (Gill Fluke).
