The dentist will choose the best material for relining based on the condition of your gums and jaws, the presence of any teeth or implants, and the material of your denture. Silicone soft liner with top mechanical properties (e.g.tear resistance, elongation) means the material is easily trimmed and has a high loading capacity. All patients will be required to provide written informed consent before starting the trial. Patients wishing to withdraw may do so at any time during the trial. Consent for publication This is because unclean dentures can also lead to problems, such as bad breath, gum disease, tooth decay and oral thrush. The effect of thermocycling on physical properties of soft liners such as tensile and shear bond strength has been evaluated in previous studies and nearly all have agreed on its negative effect.

But your gums and jawbone will eventually shrink, which means the dentures may not fit as well as they used to and can become loose, or they may become worn. ObjectivesThis study aimed at assessing the effect of the addition of silver nanoparticles (SNPs) to a silicone soft liner on its tensile bond strength to denture base resin.

Between-group comparisons will be made using Student’s t-test or Mann–Whitney U test, depending on the distribution of the outcome.
