About this deal

We don’t live in a big house, so it’s great that you can take the panels out to make it smaller if need be" - recommended by Mumsnet user Pixiefringe If you consider yourself less than experienced at DIY, you’ll be delighted to discover that you don't need any tools to assemble this baby playpen. It has push-fit panels, which means that it can be configured to suit the shape of your room and taken apart for easy storage. It can even be used as a room divider – convenient if you have pets too. It’s big enough for multiple children (and you) to gather inside, with plenty of space to crawl around, interact, play and explore. Multi-use: Safety Gate, Hearth Fire Guard and Room Divider (Wall mounting kit required. Sold separately) The European Standard for playpens is EN 12227:2010. You can be reassured that all Safetots’ playpens comply with this standard and are retested whenever design upgrades are made, or components changed.

Parent tester, Laura, says, "For babies, the Venture All Stars Duo is very appealing. My daughter loves the activity panel and can regularly be found spinning the shaker balls while practising standing up."Dimensions: 120 x 120 x 71cm | Age: Birth to 2 years | Material: Fabric (unspecified) | Foldable: No | Assembly required: Yes What we like Dimensions: H72 x W360 (circumference) | Age suitability: Birth to 24 months | Material: Metal | Foldable: No | Assembly required: Yes (no tools required) What we like Dimensions: How much space do you have for a playpen? Some playpens are extremely large and spacious whilst others have a smaller footprint. Consider whether the size is fixed or if the playpen offers some choice depending on the positioning or removal of panels. A larger-sized playpen is great if you want to get inside too, whilst a smaller playpen is ideal if you are limited on space. Another thing worth mentioning is that the playpen can be assembled as a room divider (wall attachments sold separately) or hearth guard. So, while the upfront cost might feel a little high at first, the BabyDan Deluxe Playpen will last for years as your needs evolve. When she’s not manically tapping the keys of her laptop, Lucy loves nothing more than to cosy up with her Kindle and enjoy the latest thriller, or compete in Nintendo Switch rallies with her daughters aged six and 10. Why you should trust us

Folding up and down in seconds, the Koo-di Foldable Playpen is ideal for travel, coming in a portable carry bag that allows you to create a safe space for your baby wherever you go. The water-resistant padded base is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. When in use, the mechanisms are completely inaccessible to your child, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for your baby, whilst providing plenty of space for them to play. Pop-up models tend to be less durable and hardwearing, but for temporary short-term use on holiday or when visiting friends and family, they are a relatively stress-free way to create a safe space for your baby, whatever the environment. What age do you stop using playpens? They tend to be eye-catching and durable, but can be on the large side for modern homes. Usually fairly easy to assemble, some plastic playpens can adjust to the size of your room by removing panels. Metal-framed playpens BabyDan has many different kinds of playpens, and you should choose the one that best matches the needs of you and your child. If you would like a playpen for your newborn, a playpen with a height-adjustable floor will be a good solution. These are great for newborns, as the adjustable floor allows you to interact with them easier. Height-adjustable floors are also useful if any four-legged members of your family are too eager or curious about the child. The more the child grows, the more you can decrease the height of the floor, allowing space for play.

Beyond its safety accolades, I love the BabyDan Deluxe Playpen for several other reasons. Its design is sleek and modern (unlike some playpens which, IMHO, can be ghastly), and personally suits our home decor. The fabric playmat itself is detachable and easily washable, and the playpen itself can be easily cleaned with a wipe. I also love the fact you can attach things to the bars, like toys and a baby mobile, to create your own makeshift playden to suit your baby’s age. Although sturdy, it’s lightweight, so it can be moved around the room or house with ease. Remove the playmat, and it becomes a great playpen to use outside when the weather permits, too.Dimensions: ‎22 x 66 x 130cm | Age: Six months to 24 months (or 35 inches tall) | Material: Mesh sides and metal frame | Foldable: Yes | Assembly required: No What we like With so many different playpens to choose from, here are some things to consider when making your decision: There are so many different designs and shapes for baby playpens, so you are sure to find something that's suitable for you. Playpen safety

If you're planning to use this playpen to entertain your toddler whilst you tend to your newborn, it’s also worth noting that it doesn’t have a door. For that reason, you’ll need to be able to physically lift your child – something to bear in mind if you’ve had a c-section. Dimensions: ‎36 x 33 x 12.5cm | Age: From birth to 2 years | Material: Polyester | Foldable: Pop-up design | Assembly required: No What we like First up, it’s hard to not comment on the baby blue design of this playpen, making a really unique choice compared to other playpens on the market.Having owned the BabyDan Deluxe Playpen for over two years, it’s safe to say that we’ve rigorously tested it. Both my DC have grown, and despite being a toddler and preschooler, we still find use out of our playpen on a regular basis. This playpen consists of six connecting elements and durable fabric that’s soft to the touch. It’s wipe clean and machine-washable, and has a zip door for easy access.
