About this deal

Despite being a display model, it’s really quite playable, and because the diorama is so large, you’re encouraged to set the scene up as you like, and there are tons of fantastic angles that you can appreciate. This LEGO® Jurassic Park T. rex Breakout build-and-display model (76956) is as worthy of repeat viewing as the epic Jurassic Park movie scene that inspired it. It features a posable T. rex figure stomping on a flipped, crushed Ford Explorer, a second Ford Explorer and a smashed ‘electric’ fence. Recreate the drama with Alan Grant, Ian Malcolm, Tim Murphy and Lex Murphy minifigures, buildable night-vision goggles, a flare and 2 water glass elements, plus many other references to the famous scene.

Overall, this is still a great LEGO set, capturing so much of the most famous moment from Jurassic Park –the set-up of the scene, the two Ford Explorers, the rain-soaked, terrified minifigures and all the little details in-between all give life and authenticity to the LEGO set and the moment from the film it is based on. This collectible model makes a super treat for yourself or a gift for other adult Jurassic Park fans and experienced dinosaur-loving LEGO builders. It comes with step-by-step instructions, so you can relax and enjoy your nostalgic creative journey. Special thanks to the LEGO Group for providing this set for review 76956 Jurassic Park T. Rex Breakout – Set Details Here’s a closer look at the LEGO Jurassic Park Ford Explorers. At first glance, you’ll be pleased to know that the colours are pretty accurate, with the lime green, yellow and dark red being used to great effect here. Here’s a look at the top, with the transparent sunroof, and the bonnet, which has more of the dark red stripes, and the Jurassic Park logo.

It made me so happy, recalling this scene from Jurassic Park, and if you’re a fan of the Steven Spielberg classic, I can absolutely guarantee that you’ll enjoy this build too. A detail that is really only clearly visible at this stage are the T Rex’s rain filled footprints. The new 1×1 quarter circle tile in transparent light blue really work well here.

And yes, there are studs on the Ford Explorer, so that the T.Rex can affix itself neatly as its stomping it. Real Value [4]– The set is moderately priced, but delivers so much satisfaction and I think is great value Welcome to LEGO sets for adults – a zone of zen for hands-on DIY projects. From movie magic to the wonders of the world, pop culture icons and more, there is a LEGO set waiting for you.

For aspects such as the two (or rather, one-and-a-half) Ford Explorers, that is very much true to say. We have been waiting a long time to build an official LEGO version of this vehicle and what is before us in 76956 T. rex Breakout does not disappoint. And here’s the completed LEGO Jurassic Park diorama, which makes for a terrific display. It measures 58cm (23 inches) across. T76956 T. Rex Breakout is hands down, one of the most satisfying, and I think memorable sets of 2022. Here’s a look at Ian Malcolm and Alan Grant, who are both extremely wet and drenched by the rain, evident by the water marks on their torsos, and faces.Note on availability: This is a Target exclusive in the US, but like most other LEGO sets – it will also likely be available from LEGO.com, or your local LEGO store. LEGO have stopped doing regional exclusives regular sets. The LEGO designers have gone above and beyond on so many levels, such as finally giving us minifigure-scale Ford Explorers, amazingly detailed minifigure versions of Ian Malcolm, Alan Grant, and the kids which fit into the context of the scene, and thrown in so many accurate references to the movies. While they could have perhaps benefitted from following the wider Speed Championswheelbase to allow for a better-proportioned final build (which you’ll notice from front-on viewing), everything otherwise in shaping, colour and all-round design perfectly recreates this iconic vehicle, one time in complete, upright form, and a second time upside down and crushed into the mud by the T. rex. The T. rex doesn’t completely shatter the illusion either, and from certain points of view can work with the rest of the elements of the model to make 76956 T. rex Breakout a success –particularly at this relatively low price. The T. rex’s shortcomings aren’t enough to put anyone off buying this set and they won’t be enough to detract from what is a fun and exciting LEGO set to put together and one that feels like it has been a long time coming.
