About this deal

Frequency response of the Tin HiFi T3 Plus. Measurement taken with an IEC-711 clone microphone. Comparisons can only be made to other measurements taken by this specific microphone. A peak at about 8 – 10 kHz is likely an artifact of the microphone. It likely does not actually exist as depicted here. Bass

Timbre is more natural sounding on the Olina. Olina has a tighter bass. Both sets have excellent soundstage, but I think the Olina is a bit more expansive in this department, with slightly better imaging. When it comes to the midrange, you start to understand why so many reviewers have been giving Tin HIFI a thumbs-up. They have such a clear, sparkly dynamic and punchy presentation, that when hearing them, you would think you're listening to a far more expensive IEM. This being said, the midrange, at least to my ears, has been very balanced and natural, maybe a bit bright, and prone to sibilance, and to harshness, but it was never too forward. In fact the treble is even more forward, and this makes the whole sound sparkly, clean and fun. The Tin Hifi T3 Plus has a balanced but fun tuning with a bold, upfront presentation. It has a nice tonal balance with the bass, midrange and treble all fusing together in harmony. It’s not a light, diffuse sound like the T2 or original T3 but more akin to the denser T4 or T5. But in my opinion, the T3 Plus is the best of them all. The TinHifi T1 plus is an upgraded version of the first T1, adopting a new beryllium-coated driver, embedded in a lightweight acrylic shell. In fact, that’s one of the main features of this IEM: its feather-like design with just 3.2g on the scale. One set of ear tips features wider bores, which boost soundstage and increase treble frequencies. The other set has narrower bores to increase bass frequencies. CableThe Olina are slightly easier to drive and fit better than the Tanchjim Oxygen, due to the latter having an overly short nozzle. Tone wise, it is natural and very well-tuned throughout the entire sound spectrum. Instruments, vocals, percussions etc. all sounded proper and without any sign of artificial coloration. I would even say that this reminds me a lot of the tone and timbre of TForce Yuan Li, Etymotic ER2XR and SeeAudio Bravery – the other IEMs that I immensely enjoyed. Polished, natural, and very well-behaved dynamics.

Finally, here’s the T3 Plus, the latest model from the brand. It’s – as the name implies – an upgraded version of the T3 ( which we reviewed a while ago) ditching the metallic shell for an acrylic one and replacing the previous driver, for an LCP one. The TinHifi T4 is a great IEM, period. If I didn’t want to believe the hype at first, I had no choice but admit that TinHifi completely overturns the tide in their favor. The T4 sounds and feels like a major in-ear: a clean shape with sturdy construction and the right amount of sophistication, combined with one the best dynamic driver you can find in this price range.” The TinHifi T4 was the last IEM we reviewed from the brand. Topping the Tx catalog, the T4 offers “audiophile performance” for a relatively low price. To do so, the IEM embeds a 10mm high-quality carbon nanotube dynamic driver, offering “crystal-clear sound and detail with authority”.

The T3 Plus’ bass is energetic and punchy but well-controlled and doesn’t intrude on the midrange. The 10mm LCP driver has good bass extension and creates a visceral, intoxicating rumble. Mid-bass notes have good impact and a nice clean leading edge. There is no microphonic noise with this cable, and with T3 this is actually an important thing, because while most of the other IEMs in this review are made to be worn only over-the-ear, T3 is made to be worn both straight-down and over-the-ear. With high-quality MMCX connectors as well, you have what I could call a really well built IEM. The build and comfort is very similar to Tin T2 PRO, and overall, both are nicely-fitting IEMS.
