All our fabrics are hard wearing and most are flame retardant as standard. Some are machine washable too - ideal for zip-off covers and curtains. Free samples are available for all our caravan fabrics. The foam grades we offer have been proven over a very long period and have given many hundreds of our customers excellent comfort… which lasts! The QUALITY of the foam is down to its density, and determines how long it will last, keep its support and shape and it will of course have a bearing on its cost.If you wish, you can book a ‘slot’ for you to leave your motorhome with us while we carry out all the work you would like to have done. BUYER BEWARE! There are over 30 different foam qualities made in the UK today… so it would be very easy for an unscrupulous company to supply a customer something described as a “good, firm foam”, but was actually just a poor quality foam in a hard firmness… something the customer wouldn’t find out until a few months down the line! Contrary to what you may think, and what is sometimes written elsewhere, the QUALITY of foam and its FIRMNESS are two completely separate aspects. As regards curtain heading types, we are able to make your new curtains using traditional 'rufflette' type curtain tape or, if required, the 'plastic popper' tape found in some motorhomes. If required we can also make 'eyelet' curtains in any of our fabrics. This is an excellent high density foam that gives good comfort and durability without going to the slightly higher cost of our 'Supreme' grade. It has a long life expectancy and a five year guarantee. It is our most chosen foam grade! This grade is ideal for both sitting and sleeping on and is available in various degrees of firmness. FOAM COMBINATIONS

The FIRMNESS on the other hand has nothing to do with Quality, it’s simply a matter of personal preference, i.e. we have various degrees of Firmness, in each Quality. Usually the customer selects their fabric on the day of the refit. At Regal Furnishings there isa vast array of finishes from which to choose.Depending on individual requirements, staff remove pelmets, seat cushions, headboards, front cab seats and door cards. If your motorhome has existing pelmets then of course these can be changed when we make your curtains. If they are 'board' pelmets at present then we can strip off the old fabric and recover them in the fabric of your choice. Alternatively, we can make simple pelmets that fit with 'hook & loop tape' over your existing boards. CURTAIN PRICES Owners of certain pets – or parents of little ones – often have to carefully consider the suitability of a motorhome’s or caravan’s upholstery. An expensive leather cover might not fare too well if you have a dog that likes to jump up or a cat that enjoys sharpening his claws, for example, while if you have young children and your outfit has white fabric it’s entirely possible that it won’t stay white for long. (My children are forever dropping food, pens and wet swimsuits on the seats, meaning that I end up spending a small fortune on cleaning products as I attempt to eradicate the stains they make.)

We have your van here for 2 weeks, enabling us to take the time to do everything you have asked for calmly and with a great attention to detail. You have a choice of 20 Machine Washable fabrics. They are all 100% Polyester so are extremely hard wearing and don’t ‘ladder’ like old nylon covers did years ago. Each piece of fabric is attached to a thin layer of foam for extra comfort and carefully stitched together by a professional machinist. Pelmets, door cards and head rests are glued or stapled.Whether you choose a fabric with a nap, such as velvet or chenille, or opt for a flat linen look material is entirely one of personal choice - either style is suitable for covering caravan seating. This is our best quality foam. It is our highest density grade and is the 'Rolls Royce' of all the foams we offer. It has a long life expectancy and a seven year guarantee. It is suitable for both sitting and sleeping on and was one of the first specifically developed to help minimise the effects of moisture, so ideal for use in a motorhome. Within this grade there are various firmness options available. If required we can also make 'eyelet' curtains in any of our fabrics. CURTAIN LININGS The Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988, which require fabric supplied for domestic upholstery to pass a 'match test' do not apply to the re-covering of seating in second-hand caravans. Because of this we have included, in our list of appropriate fabrics, some cloths which are not flame retardant (FR).
