Design
As with any new Galaxy Note update, you can’t forget about Samsung’s S-Pen which is one of the handset’s main USPs. This time around, Samsung has introduced a bunch of new updates for its S-Pen that are designed to make it more useful in a variety of ways. Both Note 10 and Note 10 Plus have either a Snapdragon 855 or a Exynos 9825 chipset, depending on your region, and we've tested both. Samsung didn't upgrade to the gaming-centric Snapdragon 855 Plus used in the Asus ROG Phone 2, but it did outfit the Note 10 Plus with a vapor cooling chamber designed to handle today’s 3D games and whatever comes next.
The return of Samsung's video editor, now retooled for 2019, is a welcome addition. It's built into the gallery app and easy to use, almost as if it's a simplified version of Adobe Premier Rush. And it pairs nicely with the S Pen for fine-tuning edits on the timeline. The screen is a big reason to come to this big phone. As mentioned, it's a 6.8-inch, 19:9 bezel-less panel with a front-facing camera at top center. At 3,040 by 1,440 pixels and 498 pixels per inch, it's actually lower density than older phones like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8, but not to any degree that you can notice. With the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+, Samsung has relocated the titular O-shaped cut-out in the Infinity-O design. The newhole-punch means the system icons still reside in the top left- and right-hand corners of the display, just like every other Android-powered smartphone, which is good. But the cycloptic appearance of the Note 10+ isn’t something that could ever credibly be described as “beautiful”– something that most definitely could be said of earlier Galaxy Note models.

Who is DeX for? Samsung's "desktop experience" was previously a way to turn your phone into a PC by attaching a keyboard, mouse, and monitor. It was sold as a way to work anywhere without a laptop. The reason it never took off was that keyboards, mice, and monitors aren't that portable, and there isn't much of a business infrastructure of workstations with peripherals but no PCs. The Note 10 5G is an extremely powerful phone thanks to its processor and 12 GB RAM. The large 6.8-inch AMOLED display is perfect for jotting notes with the S-Pen. This Samsung stylus now offers 10 hours of battery life. Triple Rear Camera Beyond this, Samsung has now added a gyroscope and an accelerometer which lets you wave it around like Harry Potter and perform tasks on the phone. You can use these gestures to switch between modes in the camera application, as well as zoom in and out when taking pictures. Samsung also confirmed it will be releasing an SDK for the S-Pen, which is super cool. Does The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Come With 5G? The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 does come with 5G, though not like you’d expect. Rather than outfitting ALL the models with 5G, Samsung is instead releasing a separate 5G model that is known as the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G (and, yes, 5G is ONLY available on the most expensive Galaxy Note 10 model, the Plus).The Note 10+ has a whopping 12GB of RAM, which according to Samsung lets it cache up to 12 apps. Compare that with the S10+'s 8GB, or the OnePlus and Note 9's 6GB. That said, I haven't had much of a problem finding applications being forced to reload on 6GB and 8GB phones, and even with 12GB, the Note 10+ had trouble handling those layers in Adobe Sketch. The S Pen also now works as a remote control for the phone's camera. If you have the phone on a mount, you can switch cameras or change zoom by waving the pen around. I found that less useful than just using the pen's button as a remote shutter, which lets you hold the phone at more distant or daring angles for selfies.
