About this deal

OW drama - the H isn’t quite ready to commit to the h at first and he’s up front about that. The h sees him with a couple different women. It’s unclear if he has relations with them. But once he commits, and he does pretty early, he’s all in. She does find him with a naked woman after a bachelor party, before they’ve committed, but after they’re pretty emotionally and physically invested, and he swears he didn’t have sex with her. He claims that the night proved to him that he could be monogamous and he commits to the h from that point on… the h is on the fence about whether or not she believes him, but decides what matters is what he does from that point on. 😬🤷🏼‍♀️ Only Nicci Harris could have me rolling in tears from laughter one minute and then pulling my hair out the next. "Our Thing" went from zero to call the fire brigade hot, insanely fast and I loved all the twists and turns and surprises. The premise of one simple act causing a chain reaction of chaos was sheer brilliance. I have so many words to say about this book but I find it hard to express how amazing it is. I won’t be giving any spoilers in this review because you just need to read it to believe it. I think I cried through the last 5 or so chapters. And I’m not a huge crier at all. I felt like the author completely tore me apart with her words. She made me feel like I was right their with them through this journey. I cried and laughed with them, I felt their sadness and pain. You will go through it all with them. I was so sad at the end, not because the book made me sad but because I could have read their story for days. I’m glad this isn’t the end of this series and we get Bronson’s story next. Just keeping my fingers crossed we don’t have to wait too long.

Her sweet-talking mouth says those dangerous words. Words I didn't know that I craved. She waits for me at night. Accepts the darkness around me.

Max is notorious for just having lots of causal sex with women, he isn’t one to commit. Cassidy is aware of this and she seems more like the relationship type. She hasn’t yet lost her virginity. If you are anything like me and you fell in love with the Kids of the District in Book # 1- Facing Us, then you'll know that the expectations were pretty high for the sequel. Having gone through the myriad of emotions at the complexity of "Facing Us", I wasn't sure how Nicci Harris would top that but, I was pleasantly surprised to note how different, yet alike the two books were. "Our Thing" was quite a turn from the darkness of "Facing Us" but kept the signature 'contemporary romance' vibe which was enjoyable. A talented ballerina Cassidy lives and breathes for her art it’s been the sole focus in her life until now that is when a certain handsome butcher boy one with a delicious filthy mouth starts to take precedence. Right from the onset, she’s hooked despite knowing that for Max this is little more than sex. Until it isn’t and Max finds himself throwing out his entire rule book when it comes to one certain alluring dancer. You know when you’re reading books and you have a few really good ones but then there’s the ones in between that are mediocre at best…THEN ALONG COMES THE ONE YOU’VE BEEN WAITING FOR. Yea that’s this book.

Make sure you have some Kleenex when you read this because you’ll need it. If I I could give this story more than 5 stars I would. This book was everything I didn’t know I needed & I cannot wait for Clay’s story. The Butcher boys will forever hold a special place in my heart. Idk I physically couldn't read anymore- the writing really wasn't for me, (nor was the di after the first chapter it was clear that it’s one of these trashy wattpad romances but i was totally in for it even tho the writing was terrible. but every single time i thought it can’t be worse nicci harris proved me wrong. He has a dark intimidating presence, hinting at a life lived hard and fierce. He is a man of few words, but his actions cut straight to the point. Bronson - “𝙆𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙚𝙮𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙚. 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙠 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨 𝙢𝙮 𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙮 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙧.”Those words are dangerous. Just about as dangerous as the world I was born into. As dangerous as the ruthless bastards that I call family. Bronson's character somehow tells me he has a deep ache and profound grief that makes him mask himself with humor and sarcasm🥺🤧
