About this deal

While the little girl’s nose was still running with blood, the voice felt particularly harsh today. She clenched her lips and wiped her nose with her already dirty sleeves. You useless brat! I took you in with plain generosity, and this is how you repay me? The least you can do is be of some use!”

Please also note that Harumio is not responsible for any possible extra fees charged by the courier. The art direction in this is not very good either, with many scenes feeling like a jerky car ride. You get random time skip scenes that are not portrayed well, then you get scenes where you can't tell if the characters are just cuddling all night long or actually doing the devils tango all night. I'm not saying things need to be explicitly shown, but other stories pan to a flower falling or something to inform the audience of what is about to or is happening. This story doesn't tell you anything. The title is a bit deceiving. The "beast" ML isn't raised by the FL exactly like pet and master or someone eternally grateful to their saviour. Their relationship is more like companionship (friendship-ish, of course, it grows into romance later on) and I really like that dynamic. However, Blondina's new life is not all roses. Between being forced to hide her humble origins and tolerating the disparaging behavior of her half-siblings, Blondina feels as lonely as she was before. When she meets an injured talking kitten, she is happy to finally have found someone to befriend. However, the animal is no ordinary creature; his real identity is Amon Akin—the most powerful member of the Great Divine Leopard clan.

My Gently Raised Beast Chapter 49: Episode 49

Then, Blondina meets Amon—a talking cat who can transform into a bedazzling young boy. Amon is a Divine Leopard, part of a race of fierce monsters that have long despised the royal family and humanity in general. Blessed with enhanced strength and power, even child leopards like Amon pose a significant threat—but Amon takes a shine to Blondina, and begins living with her. Despite his aloof personality, this little kitty brightens up Blondina’s world and gives her a much-needed ally. The art style is fairly standard but in a good way, its above most other manhuas that either put too much detail or not enough. The story itself, while entertaining enough, is fairly predictable, you will be surprised very little. The characters can stand on their own well enough, most are very well developed and we get growth from alot of them. The pacing ranges from too fast to not fast enough, allot of chapters wind up discussing things that were already discussed and take too long doing it and they do it on mostly pointless things as to give the male lead more chances to flirt with the MC. The actual worldbuilding is limited as we only know of the other countries but only ever see one, in fact I think there’s only 5-7 locations in the whole story that they just alternate between expanding by about 2 more by chapter 90, but even then its really hard to tell where the characters are at any given point in most scenes.

I told you my mother left this to me, telling me it was the only legacy left behind from my father!” Ughhh...the story started out fine. Really, it did. But things really started to get tremendously tedious halfway through because there's no character development whatsoever in the 2 main leads! The romance is odd. The relationship between the FL and ML is like between a brother and sister almost. Except, every once in a while, Amon goes a bit haywire and starts acting like a love interest. Blondina felt her heart flutter. She couldn’t stop feeling guilty for breaking her last promise to her mother.

The first thing she saw was a man with a long mustache, the shop’s owner, cleaning a magnifying glass. “What brings you here today?” he asked when he noticed her. Two days ago, the owner who left her alone in the store returned shortly, accompanied by the feudal lord. Blondina is living a real-life Cinderella story. After growing up poor and enduring a difficult childhood, she discovers that she is a princess of the Ates empire. However, her estranged father and half-siblings give her the cold shoulder when she moves into the palace, and Blondina must keep a low profile. That all changes when she befriends Amon, a cat-like creature with mysterious intentions. For years, creatures like Amon and humans have struggled to live in harmony. Can Blondina and Amon’s friendship bring peace, or will it deepen the rift between their people? Characters [ ] Blondina Ryun Ates [ ] The questionably named Blondina is an 11-year-old girl who’s been abused and beaten, living as the mere property of a commoner since her mother’s passing. Afraid for her life, Blondina escapes and attempts to pawn her only worldly possession—a ring her mother left her, the only connection she has to her absentee father.
