About this deal

This is the art style that I really love especially when it comes to shojo manga. I don't have to say much, this art style is everything I need to make me interested to read the story. It is so neat and clean, and all the characters look really good! If you are searching for shojo manga with pretty art style, this should be in your list! Demelza; Sarah; Darkstorm (February 20, 2022). "Have you read this one…? We recommend some excellent manga that you might have missed…". Anime UK News. Archived from the original on May 22, 2022 . Retrieved April 8, 2022. The ending of this volume was such a cliffhanger and I’m so excited to read volume two! The art style is wonderful and I’m anticipating some great discussion on themes touched in this first volume, including unconscious bias and breaking gender roles. The art is lovely, the story & characters mediocre. Maybe those who haven't read many shoujo manga will be able to enjoy this more.

It's something she seems to have resigned herself to at the beginning of the series. While she isn't overtly bothered by being called a prince, we also get the impression that she's not all that thrilled with it either, resulting in her keeping as much to herself as possible to avoid interactions with smitten girls. She's uncomfortable with their adoration, not necessarily because they're female, but because a piece of her simply doesn't like being framed as masculine. It's gotten to the point where she largely avoids most people because she's not comfortable with the way they react to her, and apart from two friends in class, Yoi is very much a loner. Now, I liked the fact how straight forward Ichimura was. It blended well with soft and hesitant personality of Yoi. It's like Yoi's dream coming true in the most unrealistic way possible and all of us get to witness her coming in terms with being treated the way she desired to for so long that she cannot believe what was so farther away is within the grasp of her fingertips now. It is an instant attraction in a way but still has a subtle tone to it. I throughly enjoyed reading it, and there was a moon metaphor that was illustrated even and it was so beautiful. The illustration is pretty descriptive and does justice while focusing on the reactions. There’s a nice twist at the end that gives Yoi more agency than a lot of books here would do, so I have hopes, but this one is a fine start that kind of bogs down with a lot of Yoi’s internal rumination on her woes (again, they do make a welcome switch to what Ichimura’s thinking towards the end). The romance is so fluffy and I can't help but smile a lot while reading the story. Kohaku approaches Yoi without hesitation and even I, am flustered to see his action. I'd really love to see how both of them treat each other as they gradually become close.I would say this is the kind of shojo romance I'm mostly attracted to. I don't read a lot of romance but I do like some cute and fluffy romance that gave me butterflies and this one delivered ;)

I love Yoi’s character, she’s a really great prince-type who just wants to have somebody think of her as an actual woman (I do feel she could probably grow her hair out and the series would end, but shhh…). Despite having her very wounded side, she’s no less of a badass when she needs to be too.Disclaimer: This is an honest review from me as a reader, and it is not because of receiving the ARC or so on. Also, this review is not influenced by my mood before reading, as I read this out of the blue and not forced by anyone/anything (need to clarify this because I am a mood reader most of the time). Again, this whole volume was just super refreshing and deeply enjoyed it! I'm going to have to keep an eye out for this series because I love the premise and how it's a "different" kind of shojo! Definitely recommend! As such, being from the creator of Daytime Shooting Star is definitely something that In the Clear Moonlit Dusk has going for it. Yamamori's previous title to get an English-language release subverted some of the norms of its genre (high school romance, shoujo flavor) to explore its characters' emotions and motivations, and there's no reason why In the Clear Moonlit Dusk can't do the same thing. It's already a bit different from its brethren in the “misgendered characters” genre – unlike titles such as Never Give Up! or Ai Ore, Yoi doesn't so much look masculine as she's got a more androgynous appearance, and people just make their assumptions from there based on superficial factors like her short hair or if she's wearing pants. Yoi's quiet personality and helpfulness end up being misconstrued as “princely” qualities based on these details.

I think part of the problem is that Ichimura’s a good guy, but he doesn’t have any bite or wounded side to him (he manages one incredibly innocuous boundary violation that he even asks about first, big whoop). Genuinely, his defining characteristics seem to be… popular, rich, two earrings, one mole. Not the most interesting start to our boy here. facts about a Japanese gem, manga, would be a big loss for you.
