About this deal

Fling: A gorgeous metallic cranberry shade with copper undertones and full coverage. The eye shadow is pretty easy to work with and gives a nice faded edge unlike Dubai. Lasts eight hours! There’s no introducing Juvia’s Place anymore in my opinion; this is one of the very best brands of eyeshadow palettes in the whole wide world in my opinion, better than most high-end makeup brands. New texture! Gold Flake Metallic Shimmer: A stunning shimmer shade blended with a light pink shimmer base and sprinkled with decadent gold flakes, sure to leave your lids striking gold.

The colors are true to the photos online, and though they're basically custom-made for someone with olive skin like myself, they can complement almost all skin tones as well. And as someone who is usually scared of shimmer, I wasn’t intimidated by the sparkly shades. Coco: As the name suggests a pretty chocolate brown shade that looks gorgeous when used on the lid. However, it has a very chalky appeal and lasts five hours! The soft-focus finish these eyeshadows provide gave me the confidence to try some of the more vivid shades I wouldn't normally wear, like Maneater and Risqué, and I loved the results. Foolproof, the eyeshadows give a multi-dimensional, glassy effect that brings out the shine in the formula and the eye color at the same time.

Maneater

The nine-pan palette was inspired by a piece of beautiful honey onyx stone that I was actually putting in my house! The rich hues of honey onyx are reflected in sumptuous gold shades, from bright gold to bronze, rose gold, and peach quartz. Loaded with four rich textures, this stunning edit of dazzling metallics is infused with rich chocolate brown and praline mattes so you can create any look. The Formulas:

Whether you’re looking for gold eyeshadow palettes for Christmas time or to wear on a daily basis, you’ll hopefully have found everything you need here! Pressed-pearl: Similar to the shimmers in our previous palette, this pressed pearl gives stunning shimmer in a more buttery formula. I love using it for highlighting the inner corners and dusting across brow bones and cheekbones. The shade: Moon Dust. Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Caprylyl Glycol, Sorbic Acid +/- Ci 77499 (Iron Oxides). For a subtle daytime shimmer, brush your chosen gold shade across your lid and you’re ready to shine. The Juvia’s Place Nubian palettes were the first ever released by the brand a few years ago; I remember receiving my parcel with the Nubian and the Nubian 2 palettes and being blown away by the highly pigmented eyeshadows.

The “Pure Glitter” is described as a “ready-to-go formula” that can be “dabb[ed] on with a flat brush.” The idea that it is a “Pure Glitter” is an odd way to put it, as pure glitter seems like it would just be glitter/sparkle and nothing else, but the ingredient list for Cosmo is as long as all the rest of the eyeshadows. The idea of it being “ready-to-go” and the recommended application not mentioning adhesive or even dampening the brush also suggests that it can be used as-is. Well, not really–there is a creaminess to it, but it is half-loose, half-pressed, and moves around easily in the pan. It doesn’t fly away like a truly loose glitter would when applied directly onto skin or over a powder eyeshadow, but it does not stay in place for long at all. To use this, I would recommend using an adhesive base or patting over a cream product. Like many of the gold palettes I’ve selected for this guide, the Colourpop Good as Gold eyeshadow palette offers hues and shades for every skin tone, and every eye color. As time goes by, I’ll definitely write about eyeshadow palettes of all colors, including blue, pink, mauve, silver, and even rainbow eyeshadow palettes. If you’re going for a warm gold eyeshadow, then a matte burgundy or a warm nude topped with lipgloss (I’m thinking of the MAC Spice lip liner as I’m writing this) would look amazing for a daily look. apricot matte (2), chocolate matte (4), praline matte (6): mica, silica, magnesium myristate, zea mays (corn) starch, dimethicone, caprylic/capric triglyceride, boron nitride, trimethylsiloxysilicate, phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol, triethoxycaprylylsilane, tocopheryl acetate, ethylhexylglycerin. may contain (+/-) titanium dioxide (ci 77891), iron oxides (ci 77491), red 40 lake (ci 16035), yellow 5 lake (ci 19140), iron oxides (ci 77499), iron oxides (ci 77492).

Henna: A matte Reddish brown shade with a dry consistency however, is quite easy to blend out! One of the nicer matte shades in the palette! I am crazy about coral and orange eyeshadows with a golden shimmer, and even have a few nail polishes of the same kind of color. I have owned a lot of Colourpop eyeshadow palettes, but for whoever is after exclusively gold eyeshadow palettes, then the Good as Gold palette will be perfect for you.

pink gold shimmer (7): calcium aluminum borosilicate, dimethicone, synthetic fluorphlogopite, mica, magnesium myristate, caprylic/capric triglyceride, trimethylsiloxysilicate, silica, tocopheryl acetate, caprylyl glycol, ethylhexylglycerin, phenoxyethanol, tin oxide, titanium dioxide (ci 77891), iron oxides (ci 77491). If you’ve read my guide to green eyeshadow palettes, then I mentioned XX Revolution already, and I told you that I really liked having multi-use eyeshadow palettes.Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Hydrogenated Polycyclopentadiene, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Zinc Stearate, Dimethicone, C10-18 Triglycerides, Caprylyl Glycol, Polyethylene, Phenoxyethanol, Tin Oxide, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Dehydroacetic Acid, Hexylene Glycol, Disodium Edta, Tocopherol+/- Silica, Mica, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Ci 77491 (Iron Oxides), Ci 77499 (Iron Oxides), Ci 75470 (Carmine).
