About this deal

You will be missing out on more full-featured HDR support by way of HDR10+ and HLG, and you won’t be getting fancier audio technologies like Dolby Atmos. Nor will you get gaming-focused features like VRR, but you will get ALLM, which is a nice bonus. The Google TV operating system comes as standard. Televisions that cost less than the popular competition have made Hisense the fifth most popular TV brand in the UK. But low prices will only get you so far and, in previous years, Hisense's seat at the table has been more like the folding chair you drag out of the spare room when you have guests than the padded luxury enjoyed by some of its rivals. OLED technology doesn't get much cheaper than with the Hisense A9G smart TV, and while it's missing some features that flesh out higher-end OLED TVs like the LG CX, the A9G presents a more affordable alternative that still boasts a stunningly sharp OLED image. Percentage Luminance drop at 35 degree horizontal angle from the centre of the screen with 50% white output

Second, the 55A7GQ’s upscaling of sub-4K sources is rather basic. On the upside, the upscaling does quite well at making pictures look sharp, adding eye-catching emphasis and definition to lines, edges and textures. Unfortunately though, the upscaling seems to make little if any effort to distinguish source noise from real image information, and so ends up sharpening and emphasising noise as well as ‘real’ image information. It also tends to over-exaggerate grain. For when you're on a serious budget, the UK's Hisense Roku TV provides stiff competition to many of Samsung's mid-range 4K TVs, including the TU7100. The Hisense Roku TV features the brilliant smart TV operating system (as the name implies), as well as great picture quality and solid HDR performance for the price. The Hisense 55A7GQTUK QLED Series TV is an excellent choice for gamers. The TV has a high refresh rate of 60Hz, ensuring smooth motion during fast-paced action scenes. The TV also has a low input lag, providing a more responsive gaming experience. The TV also features a game mode that optimizes the settings for a more immersive gaming experience. Hisense has since released a firmware update which is said to fix this compatibility problem, though we were unable to test it out during our review period. Unsurprisingly, these TVs scale up in terms of specs, features, and of course, pricing. Nonetheless, these different Hisense TVs have commonalities, too – they're all smart TVs with 4K picture resolution, while some sets come with more advanced features like ALLM, VRR, and 8K.Hisense’s A6 Series is the brand’s mid-range flagship 4K TV. This kind of TV is about what you’d expect from a budget 4K TV launched in 2023 – you get 4K resolution, HDR support, DTS Virtual:X, and even HDMI eARC on top of familiar smart TV functionality. With SDR content it fires on more cylinders. As is Hisense’s trademark, images are delivered with a strong sense of colour – primary colours have the look of children’s colouring book in how punchy they look. Complexions are warmly expressed (perhaps overcooked in some places) but it makes for an attention-grabbing image.

You'll also likely want to invest in a soundbar, as like most other Hisense TVs, the default speakers aren't the greatest.Watch television in stunning 4k definition - our crystal uhd hdr smart tv uses a 4k processor that upscales the content you are watching to stunning 4k for a brilliant picture with sharp focus, dazzling colours and jaw dropping contrast. The Hisense 55A7GQTUK QLED series TV is built with Quantum Dot technology, which provides vibrant and accurate colors. This technology uses tiny semiconductor nanocrystals that emit light in precise colors, producing a wide color gamut. The TV also features Dolby Vision HDR technology, which enhances each scene’s brightness, contrast, and color, resulting in a more immersive viewing experience.

The A7GQ also features Hisense’s propriety smart TV system, VIDAA U5.0, as well as Freeview Play with all the UK terrestrial catch-up apps and services. The VIDAA system is intuitive to use and runs at a decent speed from button press to app opening and playing, plus there is Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube in 4K HDR. There is a content discovery feature along with direct one-press buttons on the remote and there is also compatibility with Alexa for voice commands. That’s it for the 2022 Hisense TV models announced so far. Below are the 2021 models that are still on sale online and in-store. Hisense TV 2021 U9GQ The lower average score of Hisense TVs just means your pool of models worth buying is smaller, but that doesn't mean there are none worth your money.

You work at BID, what a legend.

In the US, for example, Hisense offers up just about the cheapest HD TVs money can buy, and if you can nab the 4K A6 Series on sale, you’ll be able to enjoy one of the cheapest 4K sets money can buy, too, undercutting even the low-cost TCL 3 TVs. Hisense won’t always be the cheapest option, but it definitely can be.
