About this deal

I do believe in God and I do believe in the afterlife - and I feel like that’s a difficult thing to openly admit on here, but I feel like it’s necessary to explain why I loved this book. It was a total comfort blanket for me - my beliefs are a way of coping with my dad’s death. It is a serious book dealing with war, deaths, broken relationships and complicated family relationships. Not just a mere philosophical book. Ruby was a “working girl” who stole the heart of a distinguished gentleman named Emile. The two married, and Emile built the resort park in her honor. Tragically, the park burned down, and Emile almost lost his life trying to save it. He survived but was in and out of the hospital for the rest of his life; Ruby Pier was later rebuilt by someone else.

The Five People You Meet in Heaven" was a great surprise for me, with a beautiful and heartwarming message of the importance of an individual's life, following the idea of Frank Capra's masterpiece "It's a Wonderful Life", when George Bailey finds the importance of his life for the dwellers of Bedford Falls. The only problem with this contemporary movie is the too long running time, developing the story in an excessive low-pace; it could be shorter and developed in a more adequate pace. But anyway I encourage my family and friends to watch this touching movie. My vote is seven. One of the best movies I've ever seen. Reminiscent of "A Christmas Carol", but protagonist is redeemed after his death. I vaguely remember when exactly I read this but I remember I read this couple of months before I broke up with my current-boyfriend and it was around the end of the year. Maybe September-October to November. It is significant to know when I read because it is one of the reasons why this book just stays in my mind.

Eddie awakens to see children playing along with a riverbed. A young Filipina girl named Tala comes up to him. Tala reveals that she was the little girl from the hut that Eddie set on fire. Distraught, Eddie breaks down both cursing and asking God "why?" Tala hands him a stone and asks him to "wash" her like the other children in the river are doing to one another. Eddie is puzzled, but dips the stone in the water and starts to scrape off the injuries he had inflicted on her. Tala's wounds begin to clear until she is freed of all the scars. Eddie asks Tala if she knows if he was able to save the little girl before his death. Tala tells him he did manage to push her out of the way. In this way, Tala explains, he also managed to atone every day for her unnecessary death. A maintenance man called Eddie dies and is sent to heaven, where he encounters five people - some known to him and some not - who each teach him a lesson. Another one of the big The Five People You Meet in Heaven themes is regret and anger. Eddie holds onto anger for things he can’t control. Ruby’s Story Eddie is worried that the Blue Man only told him this story to make Eddie pay for his part in Joseph’s death. But the Blue Man assures him that the lesson to take away from his story is that that all lives are connected and nothing is completely random. We shouldn’t waste any time thinking that we are alone. Eddie’s Second Person: The Captain PLOT: Man thinks he's seen and heard (and learned) everything. Then he dies. Then he revisits his past acquaintances and places, and transforms his soul. One 🌟 less as I cannot help feeling interrupted in between because of some of the haphazard sequences. And the characters need to be elaborated a bit more to really know them.) Ruby felt connected to Eddie’s family because of their connection with Ruby Pier. She thought that the park had cursed their lives, and her wish that Ruby Pier had never been built followed her all the way to heaven. That’s why Ruby’s heaven is a diner. It’s a place where all of the souls who have ever suffered at Ruby Pier can stay safe, far away from the ocean.

Its the type of movie I wished I had taped and then could delete all the commericals but then again I got to see it for free. Ruby left school at age fourteen to work in a diner called the Seahorse Grill. One day, a handsome, wealthy man named Emile came into the diner. Emile enjoyed risky investments and loved taking Ruby to fun places. When Ruby agreed to marry Emile, he promised to build her a theme park so that they could stay forever young. That is how Ruby Pier became built. One by one, Eddie’s five people illuminate the unseen connections of his earthly life. As the story builds to its stunning conclusion, Eddie desperately seeks redemption in the still-unknown last act of his life: Was it a heroic success or a devastating failure? The answer, which comes from the most unlikely of sources, is as inspirational as a glimpse of heaven itself.

The Captain took Eddie’s leg to save his life, but Eddie remembers all the pain the wound caused him for the remainder of his days, and he reacts with fury. But there is something else about that long-ago incident that he does not know. To enlighten him, he is shown a vision of what happened after he was shot. The Captain, who bravely led the way as the men, carrying Eddie, made their escape, stepped on a land mine and was blown to bits. The others made it to safety because the Captain gave his life so that they might live. Buku yang bagus terutama bagi yang suka memaknai dan menghargai Hidup, membuat kita untuk selalu bersyukur kepada Sang Pencipta.
